I just got a brand new ORF in black to replace the stock JT-6 on my soloist. I've already hit the string lock screw with some wd-40 to clean it up and lubricate. Are there any other parts I should hit up with some oil before installing. I can't image it's a bad idea to do this.

I use some grease or vasoline on the knife edges where it makes contact with the posts. This slows down the "chewing" or grinding from the metal on metal contact there. If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!

I lightly oiled all the screw threads but not the string blocks. Do the new Original Floyd Rose Trems not say Original Floyd Rose? I ordered it through Warmoth and the PO says it's an Original Floyd Rose.____________________________________________

I swear I though I've seen the words Original on them. It does say Floyd Rose and Made In germany underneath...____________________________________________

I could be wrong (I am a lot!) but I think back in the Floyd Rose II days or thereabouts some of them DID say "Floyd Rose Original" or something similar on them.
Now there's either OFR, licensed, or the Korean FR2000 (which is harder to tell from the OFR than the licensed versions, but not too hard.)
