Yep, another new model for 2016! I wanted a pointy V for a while, and I finally got around to making one. Like the Stardust, this one is named in honor of another musical icon.

This prototype has a black limba body and neck, pale moon ebony fretboard, head plate, and truss rod cover, quilted maple top. 25.5 scale, 22 stainless steel frets (24 is of course, an option), black binding all around with ivoroid binding at the position markers. Finish will be trans white, hardware will be either black or cosmo black. Pricing will begin around $2750, this one is $3150.

Very nice! Is it set neck or a bolt-on?

I'll build bolt on versions, but this one is a set neck (check out the neck join in the pix).

I didn't realize that set necks had the same heel as a bolt on neck - the two look interchangeable. The neck/body joint is so smooth it looks like it's neck-through - nice work! How long are the wings - neck to point? As in is this body Big Red huge or shorter?

Set neck heels are longer than a bolt on neck heel; they extend into the neck pickup cavity (which is why you don't generally notice them). Glad you dig the neck joint! It's very important to me for them to be very smooth and comfortable. Clunky heels are for jerks!

Wings are about 20" from the shoulder; it's not Big Red huge.
