  • Any experience with buying from mustaine-who?

In October I bought this guitar from mustaine-who? http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/111...ckson-Mutt-275

I'm particularly interested in whether anyone here knows how to contact him outside of a PM here. I sent an email to the account he gave me for the paypal payment, but I'm assuming from the name it's a wife or girlfriend (unless mustaine-who? is a woman).

I'm also interested in whether anyone received the other guitar that was supposedly sold at the same time: http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/111...ssiona-Reverse

I sent payment on October 20th. I sent a PM to inquire about shipment on the 30th and he responded on the 31st to confirm that it'd go out shortly. I haven't heard a thing since after two PM's and an email to the above account. He's only checked into the JCF once since then, so he hasn't even seen the latest PM. It hasn't been a terribly long time yet, but it's long enough that I'm concerned and mostly irritated about not receiving any kind of communication. Plus, my window for starting a paypal dispute is closing fairly soon.

    Thanks

Start the clain NOW. Dont delay, if he ends up following through on the deal, then you can just simply cancel the claim, but dont drag your feet doing it. The faster you do it the better chance you have of getting a refund.

There's no reason that guitar shouldn't have shipped, no excuse unless he's dead. Start a claim.

Unfortunately, I can't file a claim with paypal. He requested the gift option, which I did against my better judgment, and paypal doesn't allow a claim for that. I've never done that before and only did it to help out a fellow JCFer....and now I appear to have been burned for that!

What really irritates me here is that I just went forward not thinking about ever getting burned on it, but now I realize that it's not the good old days when I was active on here and it isn't the same people, so I should have been more cautious. The real frustration is that it is supposed to be my 10 year old son's Christmas present. He can play my guitars at home, but can't take them elsewhere. I wanted him to have his own. I talked my wife into letting me buy something on line for him that was better than what we could get locally, new for the same price, assuring her that it'd be fine through people here!

If anyone knows how to get a hold of this guy outside this site, please do so, or give me the contact info.

I just googled for his screen name and found him posting today at the SD forum.

          Selling something, of course.

Somebody who's a member over there, please help rstites out, asap!

Ah man that sucks. Do you have his full name or home addy? If we can find out where he lives, maybe a forum bro lives near by and can pay him a visit to see why he hasnt shipped your guitar yet.

I don't. I was stupid on this one, I'll admit.* On HC he had a full-sized Mesa 4x12 posted for sale advertised for Chicago and his profile there says NW suburbs of Chicago.

                  * Honestly, dealing here was always so incredibly easy that I was just being naive. Now, I'm kicking myself and pissed as all hell, especially now that I see he's all over the place on other forums, so this definitely isn't some serious RL issue coming into play.
