How did you miss all of the issues in the trem cavity when you gave the guitar that "perfect setup"?"I have so much gayness at times. My wife walks in my music room, and there I am, in my undies, listening to "Sister Christian" while lighting fireworks..doin' blow." - Bill Z

I don't get it. Pay somebody else to set it up, then charge Vector to set it up himself. Doesn't make sense. I agree Sausage, I'll steer clear of both.
If I bought the guitar, DIDN'T pull the pup, and then sent it back for a refund when you neglected to mention the bullshit in the trem cavity, would you charge me $50 when it loses its setup in transit? No thanks."Today, I shat a brown monolith ..majestic enough for gods to stand upon" BillZ aka horns666

My problem arises with the schoolyard back-and-forth here. Both sides have some blame here, IMHO. Graphic should have examined the guitar and made sure it didn't have any issues (when he bought it, really, but definitely when he sold it), or he should have stated plainly that it was sold as-is (which if he did I apologize, but it wasn't stated here).
Vector should have asked for info *before* buying and not been so impulsive. When he decided to return it, he should have prepped it for shipping and left it all alone. That's what I've done with guitars I had to return, even if I could have played them without doing any damage. You say you're returning it, you surrender ownership. If you wouldn't pull a guitar down at Guitar Center or elsewhere and take the strings off/pull out the pickup, you shouldn't have done here either.
The setup argument is flimsy at best. $50 to correct a trem angle issue? I'm sorry, but especially not said upfront, that's excessive. Terms regarding the return of items should be stated upfront, not after you've already received the item back. Plus, if Paypal was the method used, they'd probably side with Vector based on that fact and give him back the $50.
So, honestly, I'd question dealing with Vector because he might flip-flop on the sale after the fact. I'd question dealing with Graphic because he (benefit of the doubt, accidentally) left out important details about the guitar and assessed fees that he didn't state upfront.
My advice/opinion? Guys, you've made a spectacle of yourselves by going public and both seeming a bit...less than professional about it. Resolve it, regain credibility among the community and move on.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me, or have an accurate feel for what transpired. I only posted after being repeatedly harassed and threatened by Vector. I stand by what I said and how I handled this. I didn't take the neck off before I sold it either, so am I negligent if he removed it and found a screw hole in the neck pocket that didn't belong there? I don't think so. Caveat Emptor...The responsibility is on the buyer, not the seller. Am I suggesting full and honest disclosure is not necessary? No, I'm not. I'm suggesting that they'll ALWAYS be something a seller does not inspect before selling a guitar. How many of you would for example, remove the locking nut and look underneath before selling. I wouldn't, and in this case didn't. Suppose he did, and found a split in the wood under the locking nut. Would I be negligent for not revealing it? I don't think so. Would he be entitled to return it? Absolutely. Is he then entitled to did-assemble the guitar after rejecting purchase and before sending it back. NO, he's not. You can say I should have inspected it better all day long but with an amateur anal buyer like VECTOR it'll never be enough. My 35 year reputation in the guitar world speaks for itself. I've sold over 2500 guitars easily. I know what my obligations are in a sale and I accommodated him to a fault.
