this story has happened to other JCFers who dealt with him

as a funny fact; it's the second time already these electronics got lost. first time, when I bought them from easton the package didn't arrive and had to be resended, and now he's trying to send'em again, they are lost once more.
kind of funny...

should have kept them instead of shipping them to him for that new custom that never has been ordered...

but still it could be possible that the package got opened, and someone was not able to resist.
got no clue what happened. and yes, germany is quite far away, so I just have to wait I guess.

@JN; I'm gonna ask easton about this. it's not my fault anyway he lost my parts, but first the cheque is by far the bigger problem.

[/ QUOTE ]

How did he send you the packages?
By USPS or UPS or Fedex?
I'd recommend you to go with UPS or Fedex so you will at least have tracking #s and easier to track since you are outside of U.S.

Also, stuff like check, he must send you by express mail with tracking #.
Not like in the package with other stuff.
That is way too risky IMO.

hey, that's just what I was told...

could someone explain this post above me?
guess pat is your name and BS stands for one of the bad words, but still got no idea what you're up to.

since I have no clue how things are working over there and no possibility to investigate what he's doin, my options are quite limited.
all I can do so far is waiting for mail and calling him once a week, allways trying to sound a lil more pissed in a language I speak for a couple of weeks a year if everything is going fine.

sending a cheque in a package sounds stupid to me too, but that's just what he said and I have to live with that.

Yup... BS stands for just that... Bullsh!t! And what Iw as referring to is this statement:

"as a funny fact; it's the second time already these electronics got lost. first time, when I bought them from easton the package didn't arrive and had to be resended, and now he's trying to send'em again, they are lost once more.
kind of funny..."

I was told for nearly 2 months the check or "cheque" was in the mail... Said it was sent back to him as undeliverable and a few other excuses... I would hammer him every day until I got it if I were you. It took some intervention from a "friend" of his to get a check out of him finally. Again, after 2 months of excuses, even after talking to him on the phone a few times.

Best of luck bro, it's no picnic, I know...

no picnic... discribes it well...

anyway, easton story part whatever;
I just had another call with easton, since once again, about two weeks later, still no cheque arrived in my place.

he was kind as always, what makes it difficult to stay that pissed as I usually am thinking about my guitar, and offered to do another trace for the resended cheque.

I asked him to check the adress maybe instead, and he wanted me to repeat it, but I claimed on him confirming it to me. thought it would be interessting to know if he's got anything like my adress at all.

he did some searching in his books, and came up with my adress, but there was three spelling faults in it.
I'm somehow kind of glad about this, since this could at least mean an explanation for my lost sendings.

I corrected him and he's now trying again. hope the right adress increases the packeges chances to arrive, and hope to have some good news in a couple of days.

suspense is rising, but it's kind of hard for me to get excited, since that's what I have been for the last year now, first hoping for a guitar to arrive, later for my refund.

but at least, if still nothing arrives within the next two weeks, he's running out of excuses for sure. what gives me better arguments and limits the list of possible faults in the chain of sending a package or cheque or whatever.

I'll let you know///

Seriously, He has to give you a tracking # as proof.
As long he only says he is sending it out or sent it already, you just can not tell if it is true or not.

but what is that tracking number worth for me?
I'd not even know who to call... how does it work?
what will they tell me if I ask to check a tracking number?
would be great if you supplied some of your experiences here, since mine are close to zero.
thx///

With a tracking number you can go to the carrier's web-site (or call the 1-800 number if you like) and it will give full details of when the package was sent, where it is at, when it was delivered, who signed for it, etc.

If he has no tracking number, he may not have sent it yet. Does anyone know if USPS issues tracking numbers?

Besides the money you'll be losing with the current exchange rate, it's gotta be costing you a small fortune by having to call the States so many times. This isn't my money, but I know I'll feel better when all this is over for ya. Chins up brutha!
