For the most part we all got lucky on that one...it could have been much much worse...as Micha is experiencing....this blows...he "seems" like a like guy in person, but he's a worthless prick in reality!

This would have to be considered Postal or Internet fraud, depending on how he took your money. US Federal officials should be interested, not just Interpol. I'd say a call from the FBI and he'd get you your dough right fast, just so they don't scrutinize him further. Sounds like he's maybe using the old Roman trick of using customer's deposits as cashflow as long as possible... or maybe he's just that damn disorganized, if you give him maximum BOTD.

so here's the news,
since I had my last call with easton on thursday, there's nothing changed so far.
I turned back home really late on friday and saturday (pissed off or not, I'm a student and got to take care of my buisness [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] ), sunday he's closed so my first call was on monday.
so I called him yesterday, but it wasn't him on the phone, seems like he's got an employee who does his monday (he was closed on sun and mondays couple of weeks before) and I was stupid enough to say I'll call back later, since I wanted to talk to HIM.
the guy said he'll be back tomorrow, so I got back from studies this evening and tried again.
but noone is about to take my call. I tried to reach him from 6-10 or 11 to 3 in his time, called him dozens of times on office phone and cell (thx to sully!), but I just got that damn computer in office and another one on his cell forwarding me to his office.
I forewent leaving my number, since he's got it already and had time enough to call me, what he'd never have done on his own I guess...
so I wrote an email, clearing out my point, and letting him know that I'm not about to let him go that way, and got back the automated reply as well as a mailer-demon which said that eastons incoming folder is full, and my mail could not be delivered. seems like I'm not the only one trying to reach him.
anyway I made a print of my mail and I'm about to fax it to him (hope he's got some sheets left in his mashine) tomorrow morning, before I try to call again in the evening.
in this mail I told him kindly to better take my call, before I try out some other numbers. [img]/images/graemlins/eviltongue.gif[/img]
this ifcc thing does look interessting indeed. maybe they think the same of KE.
let's see how it works out, but I'm kind of confused, since his mailfolder was full, he's not taking calls and even the "call-responder" seemed to go out of empty tape in the end, at least I didn't get this damn message in my last call-attempts.
I still hope to get this cleared, but if he's not about to take my calls or reply to mail, there's nothing left I can do (for him).
is there any place in lake worth you'd like to visit?
it looks kind of nice in the web, and travelling educates as we say in germany, but sure I'd like to see some more things besides a surprised easton once I'm over there...
but it's still a couple of weeks till my holidays, and I'm still not sure if I can effort, but I'd sure love to "talk" to him face on face.
but well, maybe he really is ill, and will be back in office tomorrow. he wasn't able to see my number, and surely not able to ignore as often as I called.
might not be the fastest deal I've done, but it surely is quite entertaining.at least this way I don't have to think about how to spend my evenings during the week... [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
- lake worth isn't what i'd call vacation wothy, but you're more welcome to crash at casa del sully if you decide to come to town.

- i'd say that he's not only disorganized, but also using customer deposits as cashflow. kevin's nice as hell, and i know he means well, but he should not be in business for himself.
and finally, thanks for the kind words kev and joel. you're right though, if i wasn't there to inspect those guitars (and spray the stencils on the cases), they would've sat there for a long, long time.
Micha, don't expect him to receive your fax messages.
I have done that couple of times and he never got it.
E-mails, the same.
He doesn't check his mail anymore for how long? maybe since the last summer.
Only way to fix this problem is to talk with him and don't let him to promise to call back or tell you to call him back next day.
Let him fix it the moment you call him.
Make him to write a check and give you a tracking #.
Don't let another day slips by.
This will go endless and from the way I see it, Easton will never pay you back.

maybe he really does use another mail adress there, I'd be glad to reach him. just tried to resend my message from yesterday and still get the same failure message.
still 4,5 hours left till he opens his store again.
you know what sucks the most? all this waiting, can't stand it.
