I wouldn't accept anything but cash from him, by buying a guitar from him or following through with a deal, he still makes money, I certainly wouldn't do it...

I don't think what Sully is saying is a horrible idea. I wouldn't want to give the guy the business either after all this, but if it were me, I'd at least look at his inventory. I'd just want this whole thing to end.

sure, if keving decides he wants to write a check, i can go get it. that's fine. however, i think we know that's not gonna happen. i figured that you were going to allude to this, seeing that you asked me a few pages back how well i knew him, and how far away i was. why not just ask in the first place?

i've given micha info outside of this thread to try to help him get in touch with kevin, but i'm not gonna go over there and demand that he send him a check. yeah, i'd go over there to ship a guitar if that happened, and yeah, i guess i'd go get a check and mail it to him as well if that's what was asked too, but without sounding like a tool, it's not my responsibility, and i'm not real wild about going over there, vigilante style.

i've left kevin a few messages over the past week or so, hoping he'd call me back (and left another one today. i was in ft worth, and i could've gone over there, i guess, if i got in touch with him). i wasn't gonna post about it b/c really, there's not a ton i can really do here. i feel bad that this keeps happening, but i'm not obligated to go over there and stick my nose into places it doesn't belong, simply because he's somewhat geographically close to me.

<font color="aqua">I asked more or less how well you knew him and you pretty much let me know that you weren't the "friends" that I thought you guys were, so I didn't ask then, because I felt that since you guys weren't as close as I thought, then you probably really wouldn't be able to help out much. Now this evening you offered to go there so I figured if you're willing to go there anyway, why not just get what micha really wants instead of a guitar that he originally did not want? So you see, I wasn't eluding to anything, it just presented itself that way, I wasn't "setting you up" or anything like that.

Another thing, I would never suggest that you there vigilante style..the last thing that should come from this is someone getting hurt. As for knowing whether or not Kevin is going to write a check, I really don't know and I have a feeling you may be right but would it hurt to ask?

Micha I as I said earlier I'd be willing to collect cash money from him and wire it to you. I would not accept any check from KE unless its a certified bank check, otherwise its as worthess as the paper it written on.

As far as KE being able to see this thread or not, it doens't matter to me. I don't say anything about anyone that I wouldn't say to them face to face.

I feel for KE but he screwed up, if he came out and was honest about stuff I'd think differenty of him...

Wish I was in the area this week. I will be back in Houston tomorrow morning. Before I went over there over a week ago I offered to have Kevin give me a check that I would deposit and once it cleared I would give the money to a dealer in the states. That way Micha wouldn't loose out on exchange rates. I'll let Micha expand further if he wishes.

Now is the time to get the authorities involved. At least explain to them the situation. They probably won't do anything for a few days anyway. That gives Kevin time to set things right. His final chance.

But, by accepting a guitar/gear from him, he's still making money and basically "wins" I personally think it's too late for that. He did the same thing to me, lied, lied and lied again, and finally I received a check, had it have gone on this long, this bad, I would have probably gotten on a plane and "taken" something double of value for the screw job... So if you do decide to take something in his inventory, I'd make damn sure it was worth 30%-50% more than you've already paid him, if he doesn't accept it, then move on to drastic alternatives...

I don't know, just hearing the tool's name burns my ass!!! So I get real nasty when I get like this, I shouldn't even be posting here, but man I hate that tool! I'd really like to see him at NAMM! He's the new Ed Roman in my book!

If I were in this situation and could get gear I'd take it in a heartbeat because I doubt Easton Guitars is long for this world and once Kevin scrapes up a couple hundred bucks for the form bankruptcy papers Micha's money will be gone forever. And I sure wouldn't take a check from Kevin at this point as it seems like a slam-dunk that he'd stop payment on it or it would just bounce.
