    Ya know, I just read this entire thread and am quite disturbed to say the least. Glad to see that everything is "eventually" working out for everyone. I always had good dealings with Kevin when he was with Jackson and he was more than helpful with advice and such if I had any questions. I believe on a personal level he is a nice guy. I did have one strange dealing with him. I called and orderred a NOS J90C pickup and what he said was a "brand new" Sustainiac system to be installed in my Warrior. When the package came, I got a J90 without the cover and a sustainiac system that looked to be removed from another guitar. (no sustainiac packaging, all the parts were wrapped in that foam paper and had clipped wires and came with wiring instructions for a "Jackson DK2S" no other paperwork, warranty, or anything else) I called him and asked about both and he apologized about the J90 not being coverred and that whoever packed it just put the wrong one in the box, as for the sustainiac, he said they removed it from the packaging to fit it all into a smaller box for easier shipping. Since the unit worked fine once I figured out how to wire it with only the Sustainiac and 1 Hum (dimebucker, because it was uncoverred I put the J90 in my DK2S) I never worried about the warranty. I think maybe he just swiped it out of a DK2S and sold the rest for parts as well. Who knows.......

    Just thought I'd share this.

        This kind of thing really makes me weary about plunking down a good amount of cash for a Custom Shop order and then waiting for a year or so while alot can happen to even a reputable dealer and then before you realize it, oops you just got BUTT SURFED! I hope that when I do place my order I've hopefully picked the right dealer.

          Well, I'm sure it's difficult to take our word after Easton was our sponsor, but I'll say that our current sponsor, Matt's Music Center, is truly a stand-up guy. I had an issue with the waiting time of a Charvel San Dimas Standard and I got a full refund when I decided to nix the order.

            [/ QUOTE ]I'm glad to hear that Todd. I know that selling musical instruments can be fickle more times than not but there just isn't an excuse for fucking good customers over. Business or otherwise. Then again maybe I'm just old school. Or an old fart!

              update - he never called me today like he said he was to let me know if my order was placed or if it got lost. I tried calling him twice but got no answer.

              gonna try to get ahold of him tomorrow

                  you sure? when I called and his answering machine picked up it said monday-friday 11-6pm. anyway he told me monday when i talked to him a few days ago

                    He is closed on Monday's and Sunday's. I called him one Tuesdsay and asked him how come he never picked up the phone on Monday. He said he's closed on Mondays and he needed to update his site and answering machine.

                        update - talked to kevin today (i called him) he said they did lose my order and that I would be getting a check in the mail in 2 weeks or so. Im pretty sad really, this was going to be my dream guitar that was being built. I waited a year only to find out my order got lost, oh well live and learn I guess. I will let everyone know when I get the check in the mail. Thanks everyone for the support and info.

                              Sorry to hear this man. Not to rub salt in the wound, but what did you order?

                                hopefully he will send it out, i agree 2 weeks for a check is a little long considering i live 2 hours from him. Anyway if things get ugly I can always pay him a visit in person.
