  • East Midlands, UK

I live in an area where retailers don't seem to care about customers. I live in the East Midlands, UK. Because there are few retailers at all who deal with the equipment I want (especially when it comes to wanting a Jackson guitar, which no-one seems to want to stock on a regular basis, so most of my purchases are "non-refundable full deposit special orders"). The rest are second hand and very often need a lot of work doing or are just not worth buying. I've tried UK mail order in the past, and unfortunately, this has tainted my idea of ordering that way.

What concerns me is that the same retailer who happens to be the only one in Nottingham with a Jackson dealership/contract/whatever is the same one who takes in 2nd hand gear, faulty/piss poor quality returns and prices them at either just below, at and even well over the RRP. Don't get me wrong, they used to do really good deals on special orders, but there's always something wrong with it, be it cosmetic or otherwise.

The other retailers here are small (often family businesses) with little or no desire to order anything "specialised", nor do they like price matching or making good offers. They want the £RRP.

I'm thinking of moving, but have just been bullshitted and forced into renewing a contract with a scumbag landlord who hides behind an agency name.
    Fuck ebay, fuck paypal
