What a fucking dickwad. What a fucking tool. Sounds like he's probably got short man syndrome. He's probably a big fat ass too! HA!
Might as well say you disrespected Dimebag or Abraham Lincoln. Were you supposed to say, oh, yeah, you're right. I disrespected Robbin. I'm terribly sorry for that. You're so high and mighty. You are my master. You control me and tell me who I disrespect. I'd like to hear the tone of voice he used. "Bro, you fuckin disrespected Robbin, bro. I'm here in my acid washed jeans just cryin bro. I'm gonna fire up my El Camino and crank some Warrant just to clear my mind".
So what are you trying to say, that you think busting up the guitar is cool? Not sure what your post is about there.
That's basically a fuck-you to everybody that belongs to this forum, but most especially to Fish who bought the guitar. What's so funny about that when the whole reason to own that guitar is out of respect to Robbin Crosby?
From what I se the shipping box doesnt even have a dent. Id like to see more of the box it was shipped in. If that box shows no damage the shipping company wont pay a dime. He will just have to go to that guys home to get some justice or he'll have to sue him. Thats a waste of a great guitar even though I wasnt here when it was made. What a shame. If I was a judge and the case was before me id give the guitar, the $2500 and would allow one swift kick to the groin for fish.
No, it doesn't show much of a dent in the pic but the bottom is busted out at the seams.
I'm really sorry to see this had happened.
Hard to say that this was done before it even got into Fed Ex's hands but it certainly wasn't packed to survive with certainty or care.
The guy is being a dick and this will cost both of you in the long run alot more than the year and 2500. On the good side of the bad.. it's repairable and its very nice of Mark to offer to fix it for free.
I've had a guy recently ship a model 7 with an address label slapped on a friggin case..probably just for sport because they've dicked about for two weeks after payment clears, I complain so I get no box. no padding. I was lucky to have it show up in one piece. Likely the guy did it just to retaliate in some way.

Ian, this really sucks man. I just can't believe someone would do that. Blows my fucking mind. If I can help you out, I'd volunteer my time to restore that axe for you at no charge other than materials and shipping. I think I could bring it back to 95% anyway. Even though I couldn't afford one at the time, I've always had a love for those axes and what they represent. Just let me know if I can help.
Mark, I am so happy that you would offer your time and skill to help a guy out. You, my friend, are a class act all the way.

<---------------- also had a problem with Pat. I got over it and moved on. It was the healthiest thing to do for me. Sorry to see that fish. Such a beautiful guitar. What goes around, comes around.
Rich, I thought he was in need of therapy when he went apeshit over Chuckracer and what went down there. He was a raving lunatic that night, so doing this to Ian's guitar doesn't seem like such a stretch to me.
Ian, get your ass on the beach and enjoy your vacation. This crap will still be here when you get back, so enjoy the time away from it.
I'm a little confused ... If you sent him the money for the guitar, he cashes the check or whatever. What does he care how long it takes you to pick it up ??
I can guess what happened, and I'm not taking up for Pat, but he sold it,got the cash and spent it... and there it was, looking at him. Seller's remorse, plain and simple. He always seemed like a cool guy here, but then he also showed a tendency to blow up once in awhile. As a business owner he's used to controlling his world, and when you brought in the police he snapped and committed domestic violence on the guitar.
Like I said, just a guess, and not an excuse. Just a possiblke explanation for desecrating a very rare and meaningful guitar. Some people just can't control their anger. He demanded to be banned here or he'd shut down the board's server, which I assume he was being paid for at the time, because he didn't like some posters' comments on a thread. That's not very professional and shows an inability to control anger. He should see a therapist if he's breaking guitars now.
Kev, it hurts real bad to know that you have to see this... I am sorry man... I wish it didn't have to happen this way... it's very unfortunate that bad apples are in the bunch... in this case, a rotten one... one to stoop to a level of this caliber..
It is very true that issues like this, really tarnished the whole Big Red run and you have every right to feel the way you do... fuck, I would feel the same way too!!..
... that said, the other guys have a good point too, the group of us that believed in it for what it was and still is, appreciated and still appreciate the hard work you, Curt & Sully went through... always know that we will feel that way.. I think I can speak for everyone of the group in that respect..... we thank you from the bottom of our heart for going through all the shit to make it happen.. in spite of everything...
As for pickup details Jackson1, let's see...
..yes, I waited 4mths to pick it up.. my prerogative... with no phone call from him of an issue, I assumed (incorrectly!!!) all was cool....
..his comments, he wasn't too thrilled but we agreed to schedule FedEx to pick it up anyway...
..yes, three pickups scheduled, three attempts each schedule... like I said, I messed up scheduling at times... due to Pat's attitude, I have no idea whether the box was there when FedEx eventually got there or not or when they went... ground pickup is an 'anytime during the day' pickup...
.. his comments.. I wrote what he said already...
..the last pickup attempt a week ago, not sure when they showed up...
..again, I wrote what happened next...
