This really pisses me off the more I think about it. It's bad enough to do this to any $2500 guitar but in this case it's so much worse because of the guitar it was done to. I became active on this board in the Fall of '04 which seems to be when people were getting these (or had just gotten them). I don't know all of the details of what went into getting them made but I know this was a special guitar for so many reasons and now there is one less of them. What a dick!

Kev, don't think for a minute that series was a bad run. In the end it was really great, and it will always be, the final JCF edition. I love mine, and it's still mint, but I do play it and have gigged it several times. Still has factory strings! Rock on, guys.

One thing's for certain, I did absolutely nothing to that guitar, but it "may" have been missing the trem cover... That guitar was inspected by 4 people, including the FedEx driver before it was shipped!

The Glen Carbon police, yes they know me... Why? Because I've helped them and they've helped me with a couple of internet cases, certainly not as Ian suggests...

Bottom line, that guitar was dead ass mint when it left this house... I would never, EVER do anything like that to any guitar, especially THIS ONE!!! This guitar was one of a very few that I don't consider wood and strings...
