This is definitely turning into a soap opera but the only sad part is the fact that an awesome guitar whom alot of people took the time, effort and energy to see come to fruition is destroyed. Completely fucked up is was it is.

Why has Pat not offered to chase fed ex for a reimbursement if he states he sent the guitar in perfect condition? Out of spite? Nobody can be that much of a dick. He should step up and file a claim, and then defend himself after Ian gets paid. His story would be much more credible if he did the right thing first...Otherwise in my book he is hiding something
Does anybody really think the buyer would trash this guitar just to spite Pat? It's possible Pat didn't bust it up himself, but just put it in the case for shipping with no bubble wrap and put it in God's hands as to it getting there in one piece. That would be the passive-aggressive approach.
I think Pat is a good-hearted guy in most respects, but there's no doubt he has a short fuse if something hits him the wrong way. You can never really tell what someone will do when they lose control of their temper.
No matter what the truth is, that guitar being destroyed sucks...
I just do not understand if Pat did not do anything wrong including damaging the guitar or packing it wrong why he would not offer to chase fed-ex is beyond me. Do you think Ian paid for the guitar, and then smashed it when it arrived? even more insane thought than Pat smashing it right? Again, why would Pat not just submit a fedex claim if he was the one who packed and shipped it?
I think people that dont know either party should probably just excuse themselves from the argument. Its kinda stupid to argue over a third person occurence, no?

+100000000000 Thank you .. This was the reason I stayed uninvovled in this mess to begin with
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes!~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~
this is more twilight zone than what's on my shoulders right now. Maybe this is hopefully something I'm about to wake up from and it was all just a bad dream.
Hey-Zeus-Christo!!!!
i've been informed that I did not go to sleep this month yet, and something smells like striped bass? and it certainly is not my girl, she's in possession of a clean beautiful box, must be low tide at the pier now.
sorry , lost my head.

I can guess what happened, and I'm not taking up for Pat, but he sold it,got the cash and spent it... and there it was, looking at him. Seller's remorse, plain and simple. He always seemed like a cool guy here, but then he also showed a tendency to blow up once in awhile. As a business owner he's used to controlling his world, and when you brought in the police he snapped and committed domestic violence on the guitar.
Like I said, just a guess, and not an excuse. Just a possiblke explanation for desecrating a very rare and meaningful guitar. Some people just can't control their anger. He demanded to be banned here or he'd shut down the board's server, which I assume he was being paid for at the time, because he didn't like some posters' comments on a thread. That's not very professional and shows an inability to control anger. He should see a therapist if he's breaking guitars now.
Lerx, how soon we forget aye? And it's REAL easy for you to sit there and jump to conclusions... Just a guess aye? You do a lot of that, you always have...
It's real easy to just sit and listen and take someone's word as gospel, how so? And I would advise you to get your story straight on the Chuckracer issue, go back and read... There was a lot more to it than, but shallow minds...

<---------------- also had a problem with Pat. I got over it and moved on. It was the healthiest thing to do for me. Sorry to see that fish. Such a beautiful guitar. What goes around, comes around.
That was Tim Rose deal if I recall? What was it? That POS Dragon, that I told you everything about, what were the details on that John? I did forget, it's been what, 3 yrs, perhaps 4?

I just saw this... wow. All I can say is - I've had dealings with Pat that went smooth as silk and he got me a great deal on my webhosting for my band, which has been good also. I'd deal with Pat again no problem.
