Doug, I feel for you and think I have been guilty of this with you in the past as well. You have had great guitars and parts for sale that I reached out to you about and then dissappeared for a few days or more. I apologize for that. The same has happened to me and it gets frustrating. I do understand the hot and cold that comes with this as I have been that way in the past year or so. I browse and then get distracted by life or work. I think this feedback section is excellent. My particular experience with selling on the forums is not good. I acutually even gave away 3 guitars on this forum and not one guy posted a favorable feedback...

That's too bad, here's a little tip from a pretty good salesman. Never make a consession without a commitment to buy. A customer will beat you up all day and then still can walk (used to happen to me all the time). Modify something like this,"So if I understand you correctly, if I threw in the XYZ we would have a deal?" This requires a yes or no answer, most customers don't want to be found a liar. I only say this as a friend who's been down this road, works for me!

While you have selected the options of harassing me and cursing at me through the JCF PM system (which I have documented), and slandering me in public (which is also documented), I would rather choose a more mature route for handling conflict.

What I don't have time for is you cursing at me through PM and that is where the private exchange stopped on my part. If you want to have a grown up conversation devoid of cursing and insults I am all ears and feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected].

I said up front I was trying to figure out what to do with getting a body, I apologized to you for the delay, I never said I was going to buy, I asked that you not wait for me, I told you if you came up with a "can't refuse price" I MIGHT buy. I never committed or asked for anything specific. I never asked for a specific price.

If I had offered you $50 for the body you said yes, and I never responded I would agree that you should be mad. I never committed to anything.

I take my guitars apart for prospective buyers all the time. I spend time and answer questions about things for sale all the time. Some people take time to get responses to me, some never get back to me. I don't go chasing them down cursing them out because I am frustrated with them. And I certainly don't slander their names publicly over it all.

We're at the point where you have posted skewed and one-sided falsities about the situation and that is where we have to draw the line at false accusations and public slandering.

The apparent damage that has occurred through the course of this exchange is my response time to your emails and PMs did not meet your expectations (which were never shared with me up front so how would I know?).

What exactly do you want from me and what is the means to the end of the actions you have selected in your efforts to publicly slander me?

Additionally, can you quantify what harm and/or losses have you incurred stemming from not selling your property to me?

I sold a set of charvel pieces.. you bought it..awesome transaction, I then saw it parted out on ebay ..It wasn't what I wanted for it, that's why I tried to sell it all together. No biggie .. your nice gesture was offering it back to me (After you were parting it) but when I turned you down you then ASSUMED I didn't have money and offered it in payment plans.I've never paid anyone in payments and had I wanted it..I would have certainly had the money to pay for it. I turned it down and said no thank you.. this would come and bite me in the ass later because you would treat me as though I owed you a favor for offering it to me..

Bret, you had your chance to discuss this in private with me twice. You declined both times. You didn't have time to be courteous then. Now you want to goad me into a public fiasco. Sorry, but I'll use your words..."I don't have time for this". I said my peace, I will not beat it into the ground so I get banned. It was no big deal you didn't buy the body. It was no big deal that you were inconsiderate and rude and aked for more and more then disappeard, and it wasn't a big deal that I posted my experience in the feedback forum. Get it? Anyone that thinks I'm all consumed with this nonsense is mistaken. I will however always take the time to answer my adversaries BS, but more importantly, to be considerate to people I encounter in life, whether here, or in person.
