To be honest I think the only reason Jackson is doing so well is there are imports kick ass.

I've gotten three mailers from GC about sales and promotions in the last few months. Fender, Squire, Gibson, Epiphone, Ibanez. Not one Jackson advertised in any of them. I dont think they're doing "so well", which is probably why Fender bought them. Why kick the competition when its down when you can buy them out and never talk about it again?

People are sheep, they want to be told what to buy, and if FMIC advertised the shit out of jackson then there'd be as many of them on the wall at GC as there are Ibanez RG's.

Best way to buy unfortunately. That shit drops quick once out of the store .................... The only USA I've bought new was my Death Angel. My KV2 was 3 months old, Death Kelly 2 years old, KE1 was 9 years old and that one was dirt fuckin' cheap!

Unfortunately, that's the case with USA cars too. So I buy used also. I drive a '01 Intrepid R/T that I bought in '03 w/40K miles for $11,900 (with tax, tags, etc., $12,600). I looked up what it cost new.........around $27K!! I paid less than half for it and it was only 2 years old. Kinda like USA Jacksons. I mean how many times do we see RR1s, Soloists, etc., go for half (or less) of what a new one costs? DCGL has some sweet custom Charvels in the $2500-$3000 range, but then I think "just wait for one to pop up on the jcf or ebay for $1500". The only Jacksons I would buy new are imports.

I noticed the same thing as UFORocks. I've gotten mailers and emails from MF, Music123, etc., recently and the section that says "top name brands" has Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, Line 6, etc., but no Jackson. I get the impression that they aren't doing that well.
