  • SDII Reissue from SEEGERMANY

She got here yesterday afternoon, and I escaped work early since I was useless there once I knew she was waiting at home for me.

All I can say is what a machine.

It's the Lacewood version, with Wilky trem.

Plays just outta this world nice, and the wood is amazing.

As you move around the guitar, the finish changes/moves almost like a hologram or something... just bizarre.

There was a surprise fishing reel in the case for my daughter, and now she wants to chop a hole in the ice and catch a fish. hehe

Thanks for taking such good care of me Mark!

I'll post up some fresh pics soon

Glad you like it! Man, that box was in pretty rough shape! It was the last one I had, but I added as much packing as I could. Sorry you didn't get the paper towels or toilet paper. TP is priceless around this joint!

        Thanks Axe!

        LOL @ Mark

I was actually un-crumpling the pages and checking out the Guitar Player magazine tab notation.

This has the thickest slab of rosewood I've ever seen on a neck!

My fingers are sore from playing her so much over the past 21 or so hours.

Told ya! I have one other guitar, a custom shop Explorer that has a slab rosewood fretboard and it may not be as thick as the Charvie. Hell, that may be common on SD Reissues. If it is, no wonder so many people like them.

Now, put the guitar down, make plans to spend a quiet evening with the Mrs. or you'll be in hot water till this time next year!

Are you sure that's not Pau Ferro..mine is. It has a very plastic feel and caramel look to it. Your does look like rosewood in that pic.

EDIT: I just read Spikey's first post again. That's Lacewood..man, that looks just like my Koa...same color and everything.

A Brinks truck pulled up to my house today and unloaded six bags containing nothing but pennies! And if that wasn't bad enough, I don't have a single penny wrapper in the house! Man, I'm gonna take a beating at CoinStar.

Hey, you said "Cash is King"!!!
The copper itself is worth 2X what the pennies add up to.
