Guys a tire kicker, emailed me for 2 weeks for a guitar.

Finally he decided on the 23rd to take it, told me Paypal was being sent. Will not respond to pms or emails after that. Has logged on numerous times since deal was made.

I even asked him if he didn't want it anymore to just please let me know, it's not a big deal. He didn't even have the decency to respond.

Is he a Junior? Part of the reason the Classifieds was only available to long-standing contributing members - to weed out the noobs and tire-kickers. Not aware of the full details regarding this particular deal, but that's also part of why it's generally frowned upon to mention that you might consider parting with something outside the Classifieds. Not saying you did that, but I have seen it done before, and then a sale (or trade, or a no-sale) soon after.

And that's also why I generally disapprove of noobs asking for pics of certain $$$$ guitars - usually they're shopping. There's tons of porn to be found online of various guitars, so noobs asking "who owns..." and "who has pics of..." I generally consider to be shopping, which then breaks down into stupidity like this.

Yeah Paypal was never sent. It shows him as a Junior Member(10 post), he had asked me many questions and we were about $100 off on a deal. Then out of the blue 2 weeks later, he sends me a message(email via JCF) saying he wanted the guitar, the money was in his account and just send him the paypal address to send it to. I sent him a message, he asked me to send him a pm. Then Voila he went Kaiser Soze.

He has logged on numerous times and I have both emailed and sent him pms, but he just wont respond.

No big deal guitar was sold to a long time known member, which I prefer.

I'm just passing on this guy is a flake and a tire kicker.

Sorry you had to deal with that, Vince. I've had a couple of similar experiences. It seems like a lack of manners, common decency, respect.

You end up waiting on some of these types of guys forever. Keeping others on hold, since they happened to be the first in line. And you could've done five other deals in the meantime. And then, when you finally do give up and sell to the next best offer because they've been silent and/or yanking your chain for so ridiculously long, they suddenly resurface and cry "foul, we had a deal!" Jack@sses.

Luckily, the vast majority of my deals on the JCF have been with cool dudes. Like yourself, Vince.

Agreed, like they're the only one interested in the item. I've lost quite a few sales waiting for someone to come up with the money or otherwise get off their ass about something, all the while assuring the folks in the line behind him that it's theirs if the guy ahead of them passes. Eventually they get tired of waiting and move on, then the asshat gets back to me with "bought something else I couldn't pass up" or some other shit when they should've had their ducks in a row to begin with.
