Long hair or short hair..?

I had long hair til about '98, then cut it all off. Had it short till about 2006 then just let it grow.

Doesn't matter to me if chicks dig it, though I'm thinking about getting it layered. Last time I did that, I wound up with the Farrah Fawcett hairdo and all the girls wanted my hair

But they didn't want my dick, so maybe I'll just shave my head.

I don't know, I'm about to start college, and as much as I like having long hair to throw around, it's a fucking pain in the ass, most chicks don't dig it and I'm sort of looking for a fresh start. The only time I really enjoy it is when I'm with people with long hair, other then that I'm not sure. I like the simplicity of short hair but it's just a tough thing i've been growing it out for a while..

Family responsibilities forced me to cut my long ass hair when I was 26. I have been playing with short hair for the last 22 years. I often wonder what kids of today are going to do when they go out seeking employment with multiple pearcings and tatoo's in places that can't be covered by clothing.

Before I got the job I was at, almost every single application I looked at that wasn't paying minimum wage said "Must have professional appearance, hair must be appropriate" or something along those lines. Luckily I got a job teaching guitar at a school and then started working at the school through teaching!

I'm really sad about cutting it. But I think it needs to be done, I plan on doing it this week...I think. I'm still freaking out over the thought of it.

Well before you do it think first. What college? Is the job you want a proffesional one and if its the girl thing is a girl who is to shallow not to go out with a guy with long hair really that great.

depends really, there comes a point in every mans life when no matter how magnificent or thick your hair is , if it's long you'll look like a tit. (caveat if your a succesful musician you'll probably get away with it)

I had my hair down to my waist for about 10 years..loved it ..however I've had it short for the last 10 and over the last year I have a buzz cut

have to say I'm happiest with the buzz cut (which is lucky considering where my hairline is!)


bottom line,if you miss it it'll grow back (unless your over 30 in which case you probably have that klingon hairstyle going on!)

Im 45 and still have a full head of long hair that women love. I had short hair for decades mostly when working restaurants and such. Then got a job at a privately owned pet store and grew my hair. Havnt looked back since. Altho it does take longer to wash. and it gets in the way if its not in a pony tail. (ie gets in the food or food gets in it) Altho my hair line has receded a bit dew to a car accident and nerve damage on the front my scalp. I still have it and will probably keep it as long as i can.

I know there are a lot of guys here with short hair and with long hair. I'm not sure if I'm going through a phase of wanting to cut my hair because I'm in a little guitar rut, or if I'm genuinely just sick of long hair. I was wondering here if there were any guys with really long hair that cut it and decided it was the best thing (or worst) they had ever done. I've had short hair a long time ago, but I'm just not sure if I want to do it. I'm pretty sick of maintaning my hair and chicks don't really seem to dig it. I think the only time I really like having long hair is when I'm around a bunch of metal heads with long hair, other then that it's meh...

Here's my advice... take that talent you have on the guitar and put it to use in a band. You'll be out of your guitar rut, and it help with the wimmins...

I'm 36. Started letting it grow when I was 12. Cut it off twice (at 17 and again at 19, both times for jobs). Realized I didn't like it so been growing it since. Stays right at my belt line now. Looking at the "older warlok's", no receeding, as a matter of fact, pops retired and now has long hair again. Don't care what color it winds up as long as it stays on my head. I'm keeping it long.... for as long as I can.. Never really had much trouble finding wimmins, but haven't needed to for the last 10 years anyway (the wife-ish frowns on it..). You sure it's the hair they're not diggin'? lol

Southern California girls that are actually hot don't dig dudes with long hair. There's a few in the batch but it's probably the women I'm attracted to just don't dig it.
