I just got back from a business trip to New Orleans. The way the locals are carrying on down there, you would think they already won the Superbowl!

That's because besides the Super Bowl, it's also Mardi Gras season down here! Mardi Gras this year is on Febrary 16, but we have parades starting about 3 weeks before Mardi Gras day itself. So you add that preexisting merriment to the fact that the Saints have never been to the Super Bowl in 40 years of franchise history, and yeah, people are pretty happy right now!

Hey, I just had to revive this thread. Friggin Jets. 10-9. What the hell is that? A baseball game? Not lookin good for the offense at all. Painful to watch. Actually the whole game was like watching paint dry. Looks like a long season ahead. Still, it feels good to watch "real" football again.

Thats exactly how I saw the game too. Especially the part about 3rd down. It seemed like every other second it was third down and the D just couldnt get it done. And when they did do it, there was some stupid penalty. It was a tough night for that rookie corner. But, like you said, they should have won. If not for a couple of dumb penalties, they win. But Ive been down this road a million times with them, and Ive learned that a loss is a loss and that all that matters. Sunday should be interesting.

i didn't like the way the game was going in the first half at all. the jets D is the best in the nfl
until they get to 3rd down, it's unreal. they did show me something in the 2nd half though.
schottenheimer finally hung his balls out there and called some plays for once.
Revis out for a few weeks now it looks like. don't show up for camp and this is what happens.
