The game wasn't close to over and the Colts were up by 5 early in the 3rd, I'll say it again, Peyton Manning has never been hurt in his life or missed a game in his career, you take the winning edge off of your team when you tank like this.
You let the air out completely. You can't be serious if you think the Colts are gonna be pumped for this game with Buffalo now, then they have a bye week, all momentum is lost, they're very capable of going to the Bowl but that was outright bullshit across the board. It's 3 freakin' weeks until their next game now.
NOT TO MENTION- it's an insult to the teams in the AFC that are fighting for a wild card. Tell me the Ravens, Steelers, broncos, etc. were not like "what the fukk is that!!??" They gave another team, the God Damn Jets, the red carpet to waltz in and hop over two of those teams if they win next week. This is my opinion.
The bottom line is the Colts staff has their plan, if they lose in the playoffs they're gonna hear it either way if they went undefeated and didn't pull their players against the jets or not, I just don't think it was a good idea at all, they're going to be slightly deflated for the remainder of the season and possibly not have their fire since they have alot of time off coming up. They've won a lot of games this year in the 4th quarter, why mess with that? I just don't agree with it.

and dude, The Eagles with a win over dallas in dallas can get the #2 seed, they may be very tough to beat now if that happens. If they beat dallas, i think the Eagles are on their way.

Not to hijack the NFL thread (back on topic!) I think the winner of the Dallas Eagles game is the one who gets to the bowl. Saints and Vikings don't scare me. Vikes can't win on the road.

honestly, even if Dallas wins this weekend, which I don't believe will happen , I'll take Andy Reid and McNabb over Wade Philips and Romo anytime, anyday, the Eagles are on a 6 game win streak, and it's always the team playing the best ball moving on.
It's o.k. either way for the eagles, if they win they're the #2 seed and a bye, if they lose they can stay in the groove and play in week 1 of the playoffs.

I understand not wanting to take a chance on getting your stars hurt,but quitting on an undefeated season and tanking to the Jets is just GUTLESS. You spent the last 2 seasons building a 23 game winning streak,and had a chance to enter the playoffs with unprecedented momentum,then just quit on a national tv audience AND your fans in a home game? Bet it bites them in the ass!

I'm pulling like hell for NE and CIN this week,and even the Raiders,hoping we get some help so the Steelers can at least have a shot to defend. It would be sweet to get in AND get Polamalu back healthy,maybe the D that shut the Ravens out in the 4th qtr will show up again.

I found it funny that even missing 10 full games and 1/2 of 2 others,that Polamalu still leads ALL defensive players in Pro Bowl voting. Just shows ya who is REALLY the biggest impact safety in the game,no disrespect to Ed Reed. Tommy D.

Da Bear's beating the Vikes?
Any Bear fan knows there is history between the two.
They don't like each at all.
Its a crudge match, like Green Bay and the Bears, so are the Vikes and the Bears.
It goes back to the Frank Tarkenton days/era.
The play each other hard and it makes for good football.

The Bears could be a good team next year. I'd like to see that since I'm a fan.

I'm starting to get depressed. 1 week left, and you know how fast the playoffs rip by. there is no worse feeling for me than at halftime of the pro-bowl, and that is a worthless game in itself.
