the Steelers squeaked by the Vikings,Dolphins, and Ravens, they could have gone 6-10 quite easily.
The Steelers can't hold 4th quarter leads, without Polamalu, that defense is truly different, that's how good he is.

And needed 503 yards from ben to beat green bay on the last play of the game. All they needed for a 5 seed was ONE win over one of those 3 teams above. They wouldve gotten it against oakland if troy was in the lineup.

not to mention that squeaker opening night against tennessee in overtime.
polamalu out and superbowl hangover the main culprits? possibly.
they scored plenty of points all year, but in the 4th quarter they just couldn't hold on. how about the game against the chargers, they almost let them back in that game too and they had a huge lead.

Hard to say what happened. The talent's there, and they should've been able to make they playoffs even without Polamalu. They were just really inconsistent and never seemed to get into a groove. Big Ben showed a ton of heart on that last drive. I couldn't believe he went back in there with that arm. You could tell he didn't even want to lift it, but he made some great clutch throws.

The Atomic Tank Jobs of the year unrespectfully go to the New York Giants in the NFC and the Denver Broncos in the AFC. a 5-0 and 6-0 start ending in two of the worst tank jobs i've ever seen. How did the broncos get blown out at home against the chiefs yesterday?? How???? Weirdest season of all time.

It is interesting to note that the NY media is living up to its same old crap. There is more coverage of how the gints didnt make the playoffs than there is of the Jets making it. Im used to that being a Jets and Mets fan.

No, its just the NY media's love affair with the Giants and Yankees. Im used to it. The Jets could win the superbowl and the headline would be about some trade that the Yankees made in the off season. At least I dont have to deal with a bunch of "suddenly Jets Fans" like there are when the Giants are in the superbowl or when the Yanks are in the world series.

first of all Pika, no jet fans are expecting a superbowl appearance, that's a hot one-lol and they went 9-7, as did the ravens, steelers and texans.
the carbuffer is exactly dead on balls accurate about the coverage in New York.
The Jets could win the Superbowl and the headline and pictures would be of derek Jeter and where he had lunch, or what club A-rod was hanging out at the night before. It's a little over the top. Just a little-bwa haaa haaa!!!!
The Jets do lead the NFL in defense, and rushing yards, but with a rookie QB, they could win in round one but that's as far they go.

Hey I was listening to miked Up radio show and ALL the Jet fans were sayin they are super bowl bound!!! Mike was screaming all day at them ,no joke. Basically he said what you said that they got a shot against the bengals but then they are done . I would like to see them go it would be cool. They shoulda went in 98 . I aint a fan but thay had the broncos and the vikings had the falcons. Vikings Jets in 98 they both maybe can repeat now!!! Think the Vikes got a way better shot though .

the jets are 1 and done at best, if they can even win in cincy at all.
the Jets were up 10-0 at halftime in '98 against the broncos in the AFC championship game in denver. their D had them stifled and the broncos won on a broken play to McCaffrey. I put an unopened budweiser right through the top right cornerof the 50 inch mitsubishi i had, i was crushed. moreso because the Jets destroyed the falcons late in the reg. season that year 44-3. That's as close as i will ever get again i fear-lol

i take it you get the YES Network on direct T.V.? The reason there were retard Jet fans calling up boasting is mainly due to the two facts, one, and foremost, they're retards, and secondly, Mike Francessa is totally pro-Giants and biased and they probably wanted to rattle him, that's all.
