  • People suck. Dogs rule.

I've just spend most of my day befriending and feeding a starving and obviously abused boxer dog.
He is skin and bones, scared as hell of people. Has a chunk of hair missing from his head, healing wounds around his neck from a collar/chain.
I emptied my fridge for the guy, he's had bologna, ham, chicken etc. Another lady went and bought him a bag of dog food. Even yet another lady stopped and gave him some french fries.
He finally got to where he came over to the hotel with me. I sat on the sidewalk, and he'd curl up in the parking lot. I finally got to pet him just a bit..til he figured out what I was doing, then he got up.
This story has a happy ending though. We contacted a boxer rescue group and they just came and got him. That took awhile too, but he went willingly.
    I hate people.

Ya I agree. There is no reason for animal abuse. At least maybe the owner will be investigated and get their 25 dollar fine. That should teach them.

Way cool.. I hope the poor pup recovers and finds a happy family, and the kindness is returned to you 10 fold.

Couldn't agree more. That's why my wife and I have dedicated a good chunk of our time for the past 10+ years doing dog rescue. My wife is a 4th year vet student and we plan to continue our efforts once she has her own practice and can expand the kennel area for boarding rescue animals. I commend you on your good deed JB. It's too bad there aren't more people like you in the world and less of those who don't give two fucks about an animal's life.

It frustrates me why people get pets when they can't/don't take care if them. My uncle had to steal a dog from it's owners because they left it tied up and left for weeks on end. He couldn't even reach his food. Luckily they didn't notice my uncle took the dog and my uncle still has it.

There should be a strict approval period for getting a pet, It fucking makes me so angry to see people get animals to please someone in thier family, only to fuckin abuse/neglect the damn things!

I can't even emote properly about this subject because I'm so fucking angry about it. From dogs getting killed in movies which I KNOW is fake, but to me glorifies it for fucking sick minded people to real abuse and animal cruelty, I want to go and fucking shoot every last fucking person that kills animals for enjoyment ...ahhhhh

I'm so glad you took the time to help! I have 5 dogs right now 3 are my own and 2 are saved and I would take more if I could.

$25 fine? As if that's gonna bother an abusive/neglective owner. No. Stick the owner in a fucking small cage and deliberately leave food in a bowl just out of arm's reach.

I think he was being sarcastic/honestly sarcastic haha

I like your idea though as well, I've often thought about going to africa with a small mercenary team after some training with a shitload of guns and waiting for poachers and just hunting them! predator style!

Lol, I was being sarcastic in regards to the rather small punishments they give animal abusers. I am sure it is more that 25 bucks, but I know it isn't a lot, and whatever it is it is surely not enough. Very few things piss me off and sadden me more than animal abuse. There is simply no excuse for it under any circumstances.

Hey all, I just wanted to update those interested. He's doing great, and is up for adoption...he's gained a bit of weight since these pics, but you can see, he's a happy camper now.

Awesome! That should help fill your Karma bucket with plenty of positive vibes... if you happen to believe in that sort of thing.

I also agree. Some people suck. Not only do they suck but they suck badly and most don't swallow. THOSE people are expendable, not their animals.

My wife and I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. All are rescue cases. We foster unwanted dogs mostly and keep them until we can find another suitable home for them. In cases where we can not find proper homes, aside from our own, we keep them. In short, we agree, upfront, to keep any animal we foster if another suitable home situation can not be had. We also keep the option open to return the animal at any time if things do not work out.

My hat's off to you man! The world could use a lot more peeps like you.
