Tonight the NHL doesn't matter. Canada vs USA in world junior tournament. Their first game in the tourney went to shootout. This one should be some kick ass hockey. These guys don't have star complexes yet and they'd give their lives for a win. I can't wait!

i watched that game batty, it was a really great game, even though the USA tanked a two goal lead in the 3rd quarter. very high level of playing going on.

what a game, hay-zeus christo!! USA blows another 2 goal lead in the 3rd but wins in overtime. that's pretty sick that they play 4 on 4 for the overtime period, lot sof open ice. i thought when canada tied it again that they were gonna win, they are tough to put away.

Yeah, I thought Canada was going to pull it out but to be honest Team USA played a better game. They must have blocked 30 shots. Outside of a couple players Canada just was average. I'm so jealous Edmonton has Eberle as a draft pick, if his size isn't an issue, he's going to be an impact NHL'er I think. Kadri is a POS though. I don't know how that scrub got so much ice time.

Schroeder for the US is a Canucks draft pick and he tied Forsberg's tournament record for assists. It will be nice seeing him feeding Hodgson the puck in a couple of years, he's a pretty solid player.

What a crazy game though. 2 pulled goalies in the same game.... I need a second bowl just to calm down. I can't even bring myself to watch the Canucks/Blue jackets game...

Stepan, the U.S. captain and leading scorer is a Ranger prospect. that Kristo kid on the U.S. has some shot. It seemed like the U.S. guys were faster on their skates. I'll say one good thing about the Rangers, they have some good young players this year like Del Zotto, Ansimov, and Christensen.
Anyone catch Roenick barking about Drury on the U.S. Olympic team? i have to say i agreee with him, he's not the same player production wise that he used to be.

That was a helluva game last night. USA played well, thought they were going to choke like the NYE game. Canada was tough to put away but USA I think had better coaching and team dicipline. You could hear pin drop in that rink after after Team USA scored. Nice to win gold in that hostile Canadian barn.

Tommy - I didnt hear that about Roenick. I'm not a big Burke fan but I like what he's doign with USA Olympic team...going younger and leaving off some well established vets like Modano, Tkachuk etc etc. Its not what you did for me yesterday...its what can you do for me today?

Now next month the Olympics start...how cool would it be for Team USA to go to Vancouver and end up playing for goald against Canada and winnign it again on their soil? Slim chance fo that happening but it would be cool as hell
