Yeah, that's messed up. At least it didn't affect the game and the guilty party is suspended and will most likely be fired from what I'm hearing.

The Auger issue on the other hand brings in to question the integrity of the actual league. The fact that thay say the matter is closed with little explanation is a black eye on the NHL IMO...I hope this comes back to bite them in the ass...the NHL is a fraud when it comes to things like this.

Rupe, the integrity of the game already has been compromised. No names on Ref jerseys is a free pass for inconsistent calls, phantom calls, blown calls. That along with NHL always on the side of the officials is a disgrace to the game imho!

I saw that Cliff. The inconsistency of calls to shows farvoritism imho. The rule is clear as day. That reminded me of the finals when Malkin should have gotten a 1 game suspension for fighting inthe closing minutes of a game that was outta reach for the guy starting the fight (Malkin).

Well, the NHL has had a long standing situation where the 'stars' play to a different rulebook than the rest of the league. I remember in the 80's wondering how Gretzky could take a pass from center while he was in the offensive zone and not be offside...

And there has long been a silent code that if you fake out a ref on a dive that there will be a make up call at some point. But it's like fight club. The first rule of the code is you don't talk about the code! Also the make up calls aren't traditionally given out in the last few minutes of a tie game between divisional opponents. Breaking the silence on the code and making a call later that had an effect on the outcome of the game is huge.

If anyone has a/v evidence of Auger saying that stuff he would get himself into possible fixing/gambling territory. Of course the league will work to bury it like watergate.
