"Dear Dr. Bill,
I work with a woman who is about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 450 pounds and has more facial hair than ZZ Top." - Jack The Riffer
"OK, we can both have Ben..joint custody. I'll have him on the weekends. We could go out in my Cobra and give people the finger..weather permitting of course.." -Bill Z. Bub
incredible game, Crosby is a class act and Canada deserved the Gold, Both teams played great, Congrats Canada
Yes...it was an incredible game. Congrats to Canada. Congrats to the US for putting up a great fight. After Canada barely beat the Swiss and lost to the US, they got their heads outta their asses and started playing like everyone thought they would...which pretty much spelled the end for anyone who had to play them throughout the rest of the tournament. The US was the youngest team there and weren't being given much of a chance against the other superpowers, but they played their asses off and proved they belong at the top.
It just personally hurt that much more having Crosby score the game winner. Being a Caps fan, I naturally dislike him. I would have been able to stomach it better had the US scored on themselves!
Which leaves me with one final thought...THIS = class?
Yeah, that was a great game indeed! I managed to find it on some Swedish channel. Danish television couldn't be bothered with showing it until a late at night.
I thought the right team won. They played the best and had the best players, but Team USA put up a great fight (and I was secretly cheering for the underdogs). It'll be fun to see these two fairly young teams play each other again in the future.

Again...congrats to the boys from Canada, eh!
If you saw the post game interview Crosby was very humble and gave all the credit to his team mates, love him or hate him there is a lot of talent there, along with a lot of pressure to perform in a big game situation, his stats in the olympics weren't spectacular, but obviously he contributed enough, and did get the big one, that will just help make him a national hero,
Oh, I forgot to say that I liked a lot of what I saw from the defensemen for Team USA. Johnson, Johnson and Rafalski were playing great (except perhaps for Rafalski overplaying the puck when Crosby scored). But I think up front, they weren't very deep on talent.

It was just a little joke about a rival team's player! As much as I don't like the guy, he has always seemed classy in interviews I agree. He is super talented and seems to come up big when it counts. I think the major problem I have is how the media puts him on a pedestal...not necessarily his fault. I hate when they do that about anyone...Ovie included.

Couldn't agree more! Rafalski led d-men in scoring and the 2 Johnsons were extremely impressive. Erik Johnson has been making a name for himself a little more this season, but Jack Johnson is still a bit unknown...well, he WAS until the Olympics. I knew he was an up and coming talent and he certainly showed it over the past few weeks. I think his playing stood out to me more than anyone.
Congratulations to Team USA for getting silver in a tournament that no one thought they'd even play for the bronze.
That was a great tournament and great hockey, Ih ope the NHL was paying attention to this, that is how the game is supposed to be played. Lot of flow, no sending teams on the PP 8 times a game etc....one of the best Olympics EVER for the game of hockey imho...
