How about Staal skating in practice today after having a tendon sewn up last week. The kid has stones.

Yeah the game was already decided by that point but the refs seem to be ignoring goaltender contact. If the refs aren't calling it, you have to be willing to go there too and it looks like the Canucks weren't for some reason. Friday's game should really decide the momentum of the series.

it was the contact by Kane and Byfuglien which should have been goaltender interference and that isnt reviewable. The puck went in the net fine but that was just a missed call by the refs. You can't have contact with a netminder in the crease and neither were really pushed into BobbyLou. All water under the bridge as the game was already over imho...

Yeah that last goal prob shouldnt have counted. I think the only reason it did is bc it went off edlers skate. Honestly, if I was a player i would be so irritated right now, i dont think anyone knows what a penalty is anymore. Just seems the refs miss blatant calls and just call random b.s.

I actually thought the Vancouver came up on the short end of the Ref's stick...Burrows being sngled out and only one to the box and "the big man on a terror's" goal was goaltender interference. I know it that was Tomas Holmstrom that would have been disallowed lol

Byfugly got a penalty for being a jackass after a ref had warned him to settle down a couple shifts earlier. It happens to every team. The Canucks looked out of sorts tonight. Lots of bad bounces where the puck was just hopping over sticks and the Chicago bounces seemed to always end up flat and ready to shoot. Hopefully the Canucks will shake it off and come back with a better effort on Friday. Nietti didn't really have to make any hard saves in this game. The refs are apparently letting goaltender contact go here and Vancouver can't complain about it unless they are being penalized for it if Chicago isn't.

More bettman rules. Buff gets punched in the face, yet gets a penalty. Surprisingly, the nucks are down a goal with 15 to play? lmfao.

chicago up 2-0, back to the bettman rules... bullshit call on buff, and refs in between bolland and sedin. Wont let them go, even tho they both would. Bolland wouldve destroyed sedin. lol.

why don't you ask the Sharks? they're the ones who have underachieved. I'm going off of their track record.

c'mon, they're all "must" wins as far as i'm concerned.
The Wings couldn't put a whole team on the ice for most of this season, I don't expect them to go away anytime soon.
As far as next season goes anyway. They'll be back regardless.

Detroit should have won that last game. That was a 'must win' and they had a nice lead and lost it. Pretty bad. To go from winning the Cup to last year losing it in a lacklustre game 7 (after that amazing game 6 performance) to fighting to even get in the playoffs this year...Detroit which used to be very dependable has become very unpredictable.
