i don't do predections...just can't wait until Wednesday.

Pretty impressed with the Red Wings post Olympic break run. I thought they'd have a hard time gettin the 7-8 spot back then. To finish 5th and 102pts on the year with having 8 regulars out w/ injuries for extended periods of time is impressive....and to top it off they have 1 point more that Pittsburgh so if after the war if lucky enough to be the last 2 teams standing again, Detroit would have home ice advantage lol

playing for the shootout? friday night's team was nowhere in sight at all yesterday outside of Lundqvist.
as for predictions, i think we're more likely to see an upset in the western conference, there are no easy rounds there for any team.

they've never done anything to me but i still would like to see the Sharks tank in the Shark Tank again and bow out early. I take pleasure in their underachievements, i don't know why.

Boston has some fight in them. I think they can surprise Buffalo.

And the Flyers have beaten Brodeur all season. The Devils might get some games in, but I think Philly can handle them.

I realize this means Philly plays Washington in the second round, which could be a sweep, but that's how I see the first round going. Here's hoping for Montreal knocking out the Caps. I think Philly could beat Pittsburgh.

actually, as long as crosby is not skating with the cup again, everything will be fine.
i can't stand that guy, i just can't. he really bothers me. and he beats my team to dust every time too.
the west is really intriguing, tough 1st rounds across the board.

Phoenix isn't getting out of the first round Tommy. They'll put up a good fight against Detroit but eventually will fall. Detroit in 5 or 6 depending on if Bryzgalov can steal one or two games.

Crosby is a great player...just tired of being force fed Sidney Crosby by the league forever now. You hear nothin about Stamkos...kid nets 51 and no one knows him outside of Tampa Bay

I'm not knocking Phoenix, they're a well coached team, play a smart system and have great goaltending. They have what it takes to do some damage if they get it going. I just think if Detroit gets beat, they beat themselves. When that team is on, no one can beat em. The problem is you don't know what team will show up...hope its the post Olympic break team that shows up for the playoffs
