I watched the Rangers/Canucks game in a bar in Cancun. There was a table of 8 of us from Vancouver and a table of 12 or so from New York. We kept cheering the goals and the the Rangers fans kept chanting "1994".

It's kind of wierd sitting in a bar where they play "Ole Ole" after goals in hockey games though...

there was a great brawl in the 3rd period of that game, then the rangers tied it up, and then they got steamrolled.

fukk goal songs anyway, it's early but this season is wide open.
same deal as usual in the east with the Caps, Pens, devils, and Flyers
leading the way. Buffalo is playing well, as are the upstart Islanders as of late.
The Rangers will continue to play with mediocre results.
The West is a little more interesting with the start that the Avalanche has had. Hawks and Jackets playing well. and of course the Flames and Sharks. Kings too.
Canucks and Stars right in the mix, hell even Phoenix is over achieving, they have a great goalie. The west is all pretty mashed up with competition, plus the western conference travels a lot more than the east teams do. Lots of season left.

i almost got sick watching the Rangers last night. Kovalchuk was awesome in his first game back for Atlanta. Rangers are tanking hard now after the 7-1 start. big surprise right?
