Yeah Gaborik would probably be among the league scoring leaders for the last 5 years if he wasn't being held under lemaire's thumb. Now that they are letting him open things up a bit and take some chances he is racking them up.
Unfortunately the Rangers just aren't that deep in talent and if you can shut down their top 2 lines (or just the top one...) and get one in against Lundqvist you pretty much have a free win.GTWGITS! - RacerX

good fuckin god... watched the stars wings game on nhl network. No clue who the wings announcers are, but they are the biggest fuckin crybabies ive EVER heard. the one clown called it a "circus" and said "the refs won it". WOW.Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Yeah there is nothing worse than watching a game being called by a total homer. I was actually very impressed with the guys calling the Rangers/Canucks game for MSG network. They did a great job at calling it fairly impartially and didn't try to oversimplify the game for people that may be new watchers.GTWGITS! - RacerX

Batty,
Sam Rosen is a great announcer. I love that guy. He does NFL games now on sunday as well. He's been doing Ranger games forever. Joe Micheletti is o.k., but Sam is my favorite guy. he really calls a decent game, always has.
Was watching NHL on the fly last night, Kevin Weeks thought the red wings were robbed, I misse the highlight though.Last edited by atomic charvel guy; 11-19-2009, 01:02 PM.Not helping the situation since 1965!

They did get hosed on the no goal call and possibly one point but Dallas out played them, Auld out played Howard. Detriot looked intermittently out of sync all night, their D, yes even the great Lidstrom looked slow...speed kills and Dallas had it last night, Detroit looked a step off.shawnlutz.com

Cliff...thats Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond who do Detroit broadcasts. I was blacked out on NHLN because being in Dallas so I watched the Stars broadcasters on FSN-SW. They too said it was a goal and if i didnt know they were Stars crew I'd think they were homers for Detroit on that play.
You win some and you lose some in officiating calls but the bottom line here was the Wings didnt get the job done....not gonna win many games scoring 1-2 goals.shawnlutz.com

Agreed, you dont win many games scoring 1 goal in the "new" nhl.Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

that Mickey Redmond...he's not really too much of a hommer...he hates all pansy related penalties really. He's old school and they have to shut him up as he'll go on and on about the officiating. Even when the penalties are on the opposing team he says..."they called that a penalty" or " he barely touched him"...shawnlutz.com

anyone catch the postgame of the ducks last night? gadzooks. Ducks win in a shootout, i think it was neidermeyer who got top start of the game, he skates out to take a bow, then he skates over and lofts his stick over the glass to a kid as a cool gesture. then a moron in back of him yanks the stick away from him, sparking a brawl with another moron, not to mention the lady next to the kd who was trying to throw some blows at the other two idiots. i'm gonna look for a link to it.Not helping the situation since 1965!
