There is too much of a double-standard when it comes to suspensions, hell even penalties. OV will get a free pass, just like Malkins, Crosbys or a Lidstroms would get.

Officiating is continuing to decline...at least for my team. You can flat out knock the head off someone and not even get a penalty then barly touch someone and get 2 for slashing, hooking or interference. You can put the puck in the net yet its not a goal (3x so far this season for Detroit). For Penalties your team may as well goon it up as it appears the refs just want an equal number of PP attempts per team at the end of the night, regardless if you play clean on not. My thinking here is, they wont call em all so have at it boys, knock the fuck outta anyone in a different color sweater, become the Flyers of the 70's

I dont have a problem with carcillo- hes on the team for that reason. I do have a problem with not letting the other guy man up and say "lets go".

Carcillo is sorta a douche, dont have a problem with him for the most part but he didnt wait until the dude brought up his fists to fight, he clocked him just as he was droppign the mitts and with his arms below the waist.

I dont like the instigator rule either but I dont think it stops people from restitution when it needs to be paid. I think it does take the spontaneous bought out of the game because of the additional 2 for starting it. I dont like the pre-arranged staged fights. I like the ones that are like "you pissed me off enough tonight mutherfukker...lets go" and they go at it. Its an emotional game, waiting for later isn't an option...you go when its go time, not meet me at the flagpole at 3pm shit...lol
