Yeah I've been a Canucks fan for a long time, went to my first game live in the 81-82 season. They've been craptacular team for most of those years. To be honest it was more rewarding as a fan to know that they sucked and shouldn't win, because then when they did manage to pull off a win it was like the rebels beating the empire.

Now that they should be a great team on paper, when you watch them come out floating it just makes you ANGRY.

Anyone know anything about the versus/directv deal? This is fkn bullshit. Playoffs are nearing, and if I have to switch to cable im not gonna be happy.

Everything I have heard is DirecTV is hanging tough and will not give in to Comcast. I think they are willing to let customers leave over this. Its possible they don't think that many people will actually leave. Once they do and they figure it out it will be too late.

Well, I'll stay with Direct TV just over the principle of Comcast trying to hold them over a barrel. Plus, I'm lucky that Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh is in my regional coverage, so I only miss 12 regular season games during the year.

Brodeur once again stands on his head, but he is truly a great goalie. The Devils are one of the few Eastern Conference teams I don't curse with hatred when the Pens play them. There was never any doubt in my mind he would get the shutout milestone. Just wish it hadn't been against the Pens.

I can handle watching a few Red Wings games on the net during the regular season games on VERSUS but I wont miss any playoffs and Versus has an ass load of playoff games.

Well thats fine, but you will miss any playoff games, including 1 and 2 of the cup finals, that are on versus.

I already tried to change. I was told that because I upgraded to a DVR receiver last year that I am on the hook for a two year contract and I'll owe them around $200-$300 for quitting (nothing was ever stated and I never signed anything...it is all hidden in fine print somewhere I suppose). There has to be a loophole that lets you out of that if programming changes...I'm going to have an attorney friend look into it. They offered me half price on Center Ice which I declined.

Looks like I'll be watching the playoffs at my Dad's house.

Personally I hope Comcast and DirecTV don't resolve the issue. Forcing the NHL to look at another carrier. Versus sucks.
