Lets go yotes. And, as an aside, if its a det/pit final again? No chance i will watch even one game.

So you're saying you think the Blackhawks are boring? They use a very similar system. Scotty Bowman is in Chicago for a reason, to show them how to win and they're doing that playing Red Wing Hockey

Hmmm...two of the most intense and competitive Cup Finals in quite some time and if there's a round three you won't watch?

I think you're posting in the wrong thread...maybe you should start one on figure skating

        • I had no worries last night since the rangers are playing golf, and not once did i hear Emerick gargling the whole night, it was almost perfect.
The Coyotes forecheck was great in the 3rd period last night.

          • I don't think either Detroit or Pitts will be there...that's not to say that they won't get through but my gut says that the finals will have 2 new teams. It's tough though-with the pedigree that both of those clubs have if they get on a roll and so on they could make it. Crosby is a very determined player who will just do it himself if things aren't happening and Detroit has a few guys like that too. Stanley Cup...war of attrition.
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

            • Yeah I don't think Detroit will make it past Vancouver, nor Pittsburgh past Washington.

My predictions call for a Washington-Vancover final, with Washington coming out on top.

Here are my West predictions for first round:

              San-Col - Col in 6
              Chi-Nas - Chi in 5
              Van-LA - Van in 5
              Phx-Det - Det in 6

              • the likelyhood of Detroit and Pittsburgh making it the Cup final is pretty slim imho...odds are against it, regardless of how hot or talented of a team they may have. To go to back to back finals is tough as it is, to go to 3 in a row is tough to do. Having said that, both teams have the genetic makeup to win the cup this season...the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win so the odds are against teams repeating. You're looking at 2 1/2 month war every other day. He who is healthy in may and june prevail

I think Detroit can handle Vancouver, Chicago and San Jose when their on their game....Nashville may very well be the sleeper team, they're stingy defensively and Trotts has them playing a good sysyem.

                • Disregard my comment about the officiating from last night.... I fell asleep during the game and missed the non-call on lidstrom... Wings got absolutely hosed on that. They wouldve likely won the game.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

                  • it happens Cliff but I wish the NHL ref's would meet on the ice just like MLB does. With 4 officials out there, someone had to see the high stick...for the ref to tell Lids that it was Filpulla's stick that caught him when Fil was not even involved in the play just shows you how blind some of the orange armband guys can be

Who knows what would have happened, that would have been a double-minor high sticking and they already were on the PP so it would have been over a minute and half of a 5 on 3. I'm not one to blame officials for any loss, bottom line was if they converted more than 1-6 and killed more than 3 of 4 the no call thing wouldnt have mattered at all really...

i still think the coyotes played well enough to win, they did score 3 power play goals.

                        • Woohoo! Go Canadiens! I caught the last 5 minutes of the OT. The Caps looked flat. I don't think they expected such an effort from the Habs.
