canucks get a squeaky win over the kings, that was a great game.
Luongo saved the game when he got his stick caught in his skates, when he's on, watch out., the kings were not intimidated at all.

Edler delivered some crushing hits in that game. The playoffs are bad for my blood pressure though. I was screaming at the refs on my tv when Kopitars stick got rammed through Herik's visor and there was no high sticking call.

Sammy always had the knack to score big goals at the right time. I wish Detroit would have treated him better. He could of had a breakout season and taken on a more important role with all the injuries the Wings had this season. Kenny Holland was too concerned trying to land Marian Nossa with an long-term offer 68 cents, a rubber band and a stick of gum for the next 75 years instead keeping a player who helped them win the cup. In hindsight he put all his eggs in Nossa, didnt have money to re-sigh Sammy and let Hudler go as well. I guess you have to try to land a guy like marion but is a Nossa inthe playoffs, didnt help us win a cup when Sammy and Huds did...

What's not to love about a guy that knows how to find gaps and shoots the puck every time it comes within 10 feet of him in the offensive zone?

The Kings were held in it by their goalie for the most part from my blue glasses perspective. Their powerplay is good but 5 on 5 they didn't have much going on and there was a wide disparity in shots until they got a 5 minute major on Alberts boaring penalty.

Edit: Slo-mo shows it was actually a clean hit...the elbow was tucked against his body. Brutal hit.

The wild wild west last night. Det/Pho game in the second period there were 5 goals scored in 4 minutes (3:58 actually). it looks liek the Wings are awake now, achieved the objective of winning on the road, back at the Joe tomorrow.

The Minnows score at the 19:28 mark to tie, send to OT and win to even the series up. Coloradical could had Shark balls in the vice grips if they could have held on.

The Nashville Banjo Pickers jump up a game on Chicago who look like they feel their 112 reuglar season point dance gets them a free pass to the Cup finals. You have to play the games Hawks. I'm telling you, Nashville is the sleeper team in the west, they were the only team I didnt want the Wings to have to face in round 1. They are playing good hockey and if they get some playoff confidence and momentum going the Blackhawks can find themselves on the golf course PDQ if they are not careful.

Anyone see the Sutton interview clip where the guy keeps asking about it and stating about the elbow being up & Sutton just keeps saying "so, are you an expert?"

He came off as a real d!ck in that interview but then again the interviewer was too and the hit was clean...as you guys said - it just so happened that it was a brutal one. I don't think I'd have reacted that way toward the reporter but I don't know that for sure. Life in the spotlight in front of the cameras...
