Well, Flyers make it past the Devils, even without some big guns. Giroux is a hell of a hockey player. Pens lose to the Sens in triple OT, but Leclaire earned that one. One of the best games I've watched in a while, just sick of seeing the Pens lose in multiple OT playoff hockey games. Pens need to buckle down and close out this series. Gotta give the Sens credit for playing without some big guns too.

Bow to my predictability! I just wish Laperriere would stop blocking shots with his face. It's too scary to watch. He got 60 stitches above his eye last night. Apparently almost losing an eye has convinced him that real men can wear shields too.

Sens are putting up a fight. That one should be fun to watch.

The Caps should close out the series tonight.

Yea they matched up well with the Devils all season. Unfortunately they don't match up with the Caps well at all, I hope Boucher and the defense can keep it up.

Me too...I thought Jersey was going to make a big run. I also thought that Ottawa was going to put the Pens out...combination of things on that one - Pens playing possum at the end of the season(?). Ottawa on a bit of a roll at the end of the season. I have to realize that Ottawa has never had a goalie when they had a decent team. To me a goalie is one that has 2 decent seasons in a row.

How anyone can not enjoy Capitals games is beyond me. Those are the most exciting games since Calgary games in 2004.

I would agree, somewhat... but theyve also got green, backstrom and semin.. Thats what? 200 points in the regular season? (I know, ovie had 50 goals.) Agreed about their defense, tho. Not very good.

Edit: 261 pts to be exact.. And that dosnt include laich, morrison and knuble. Theres a reason they won the pres. trophy. That said, if philly plays them? GO FLYERS!

You have to remember that their division was horrible this year. If they were in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast there's no way they would have gotten that many points.

If the Flyers defense continues to dominate, I can see Philadelphia winning in 6 games. If Pronger or Betts or "Lappy" get injured, then all bets are off. And of course Boosh needs to stay hot.

Canucks dominated the Kings tonight. One more win boys then bring on round 2! I hope they can beat LA at home and get a couple days off. It was nice for me to see Clune pay the piper for beaking off at the bench every time he went by.

You have to remember that their division was horrible this year. If they were in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast there's no way they would have gotten that many points.

I don't quite agree with that assessment. They lost a total of 15 games in regulation...across the entire league, not just the division. Sure, the division was probably the weakest, but they don't play all games within the division. And, they outscored opponents by 85 goals. They were 4-0 vs PIT, 3-1 vs PHI and 2-2 vs NJ. So, sure, factor in a few more losses if playing within another division, but they're still top 3.

As much as I hate the Flyers, Washington will have a tough time winning that series if they don't get their heads out of their collective asses. Should be very similar to the 1st round NYR/WAS series last year. The Rangers defense and goaltending was huge. The Flyers D is just as good as last year's Rangers team, if not better, but Boosh is no Hank.
