both of those games were a feel out process and somewhat boring, at least the East game was boring wiht a routng like that. Halak will bounce back.

Nice win for Philly, but they shouldn't let it get to their heads. The Pens opened up their series with a rout of the Habs and chased Halak from the net as well...we all know how that turned out. Philly can't count on the shooting accuracy that we saw last night as well...they buried some stellar shots.

Difference between the Pens and Flyers though, is that the Pens have 2-3 really good players. Flyers have 6-8 above average players. I think Montreal got by Washington and Pittsburgh by shutting down the stars. Who do you shut down on the Flyers? Gagne? Pronger? Giroux? Hartnell? Timonen? Van Riemsdyk? Leino? And rumour has it that Carter will be back by Game 4 or 5.

I'm still calling Flyers in 5. Montreal wins Game 3.

you'd think that that would not refer to the HP Pavilion as the Shark "Tank" to perhaps prevent them from tanking that they have down to a fine art.

I still don't see anything major in who'll win each series based off 2 games played. They are best of 7 for a reason. Game 3 is a huge pivotal game and we have yet to play it

yeah but that hurt san jose badly, the hawks already had done their job by
gaining at least a split after taking game 1, last night was no bueno in every way.
They're all must wins, but games 3 and 5 are the most pivotal in any series.

Montreal got outplayed in round one and...

Halak made Montreal for 2 series.

Bottom line: the goalie is part of the team - it just isn't good to base your game plan on that one player as the day he has a bad game (or a non-stellar game) then it ends up being a loss.

I dont see either team down 2-0 winning 4 outa 5. flyers/hawks.
