      • I'm sure anyone would sound good calling back to back championships for your favorite team, but I can't speak from experience like you can...

Yes, that was very Brooks Laich-like...old school hockey toughness.

San Jose Sharks are just one of those mysteries that will never be figured out. Many of the 'experts' early on picked them to win because of the additions that they made and because the core of the team has gained a little experience.

My take on them is that they have some excellent players but not many of them seem to be TRYING very hard. Nabokov looked like he was thinking about something a million miles away from the rink on some of the goals that got by him in this series and Joe Thornton...come on...I've seen enough. Maybe Boston trading him away a few years ago WAS a good trade after all. Heatley? God...that guy will probably demand a trade to Pittsburgh, Washington or Chicago in the next couple of years.

The bottom line is that now you have people who have talent but are playing FOR THE MONEY. They don't have the drive to just play with everything that they have for the honour of having their name on the Stanley Cup. How many of the Sharks looked tired at the end of the game? If you are leaving the ice for the last time you should have nothing left - some of them looked like they were already wondering if they could make their flight to Sandals St. Lucia or wherever they were going...maybe to catch up with Sidney on the lake.
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

                Flyers/Hawks...Flyers in 7.

Okay...fair enough...they can purposefully lose one so they win it in front of their fans.

                            • Congrats to the Hawks, and the Flyers (bastards ). From what I've seen, I don't think Philly can hang with the Hawks' speed, but that's why they play the games. As much as I hate Philly, I'm rooting for the Cup to stay in PA for another year...should give a boost to the rivalry (like it needs one ).

                              • I haven't seen Chicago play yet, but when Philly's defense is clicking, they're definitely able to shut down speed. It should be a fun series.
