I'm an anti-salary cap kind of guy. If a successful franchise wants to spend money to put a good product out on the ice them let them spend money. To me a cap with cost certainty and profit sharing mean teams that know how to run a business are subsidizing those who don't. Suckass teams are rewarded with high round draft picks. They then have low payrolls and lose money but the successful teams are forced to help them out finacially by the league...rewarding bad business We all know you can't buy a cup regardless. Teams with high payrolls don't always win Parity sucks.....

theyre keeping campbell regardless. Huet will be demoted to rockford, that way hes salary doesnt count against the cap. Sopel can be moved for 2m. Versteeg also.

Yeah, ask the rangers about trying to "buy" a cup. 90m down the drain Lol.

Chicago knows how to thow a victory parade. I'm not gona lie, I don't like the Blackhawks but it is great to see the city celebrate and be rewarded for turning things around an dbring the game of hockey back to the great original 6 city...awsome to see this stuff imho. The estimated 2 million people attended. In Detroit I think it was 1.5 million the last time they won it in 2008 down from their previous 3 cups

Salary cap issues...I think almost everyone has them and everyone who wins DEFINITELY has them because everyone and their agent puts more jack to their guy if they have a championship. Toews will definitely be thanking his agent for writing in the Conn Smythe clause...$1.3 million bonus!!!

Parade...man...the clips on TSN were unreal!! They stated 2 million people were in attendence and the throng surrounding the double decker buses was mind boggling! I think the players were a little surprised too. That's the best parade I've ever seen and I've been watching hockey a long time.

Kane looked like he could have used some sobering up...eyes hanging right out of his head and sent a 'shout out' to the cab drivers...HA! I laughed and shook my head at the same time on that one.

I was unable to get the day off. So I did not make it to the rally. However, I did make it to the parade. (Parade started on Washington at Wacker, I was on the next block - Franklin which is next to my office) The rest of the day I spent watching as much as I could of the rally from the office on my computer, it was herky-jerky so I was really glad that I recorded it on the DVR. I just haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Thats over 6m in salary off the cap. Sucks to lose buff, but that probably means they keep sharp, ladd and versteeg.
