  • Favorite guitar solo of all time

Pretty straight forward, favorite guitar solo of all time ..............
It doesn't have ti be technical or anything else, what is it and where in the song is it?

    Here's mine;

3:35 And my ultimate guitar praise( the shit that made me pick up a guitar) starts

I hope some of you like this, but what's yours?
Enjoying a rum and coke, just didn't have any coke...

impossible question, but off That album institutionalized..

i hold a place for rainbow in the dark tho - for a long time as a kid i thought that was the most perfect constructed solo.
    an all timer at least.

Probably Van Halen's I'll Wait or Kiss' Tears Are Falling.

I like all the Dio solos. The first solo that really stuck out to me was Highway Star. Kinda cheesy but it was cool at the time.

Schenker's solo in Rock Bottom on the Strangers in the night album is my all time fav, it just kicks ass.

Even though I am not a huge Megadeth fan anymore, the Tornado of Souls solo is the one that immediately comes to mind.

The intro to this (the entire song is an exercise in awesomeness, drumming especially, but the guitar work at the start is just fucking amazing, from about 2:18):

                            Fun topic.

First off, X-Ray eyes solo by Jason Becker
                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0izFtEUS5Q Starts at 1:58

Tornado of Souls, Symphony Of Destruction, The Killing Road, Train of Consequences, Poison Was The Cure (Fucking awesome one) - Megadeth/Marty Friedman

Alcatrazz - Island in the Sun, Jet to Jet

Dokken - Dream Warriors, The Hunter.

I know I cheated pretty hard on this. But those are some of my favorite solos of all time.
