Such a bizzare situation. Not to get all solopsistic, but this morning I was thinking about the fact that the guys in Metallica are all in their mid 40's (yes, I'm still in obsession mode from the concert) and how as the years roll by and we become older ourselves the "big brother" type icons of our youth fade & die, as we all will, and how strange it feels, even if it's totally ordinary, perhaps the most ordinary situation imaginable.
And I swear, the next thought through my head was, "Dio's the oldest of the bunch, he'll go first. How weird will it be when he's gone".

Terrible news. I'm pulling for the guy, he's definitely one of my musical heroes. According to wikipedia (which is no true authority of course) stomach cancer found in early stages only has a 65% survival rate. The caveat here is they've caught it early and I'm sure RJD is going to be getting the best care available on the planet.GTWGITS! - RacerXComment
