I have a job offer at Robins AFB, GA. Does any have any experance with the Warner-Robins area of Georgia, like the cost of housing, and what not. Any info will help.
I cant speak to that town, but Georgia is a nice state, the only one I would consider living in outside of Texas. I have spent time in and around Atlanta(Stone Mountain) and pricing for groceries and gas was good. Also the houses in the area (3br, 2bath) were reasonbly priced compared to TX. Really though coming from California everything should be cheaper. Also I noticed that this town is in Houston county. They do not pronounce it Houston like we do in Texas. There they pronounce it Howsden.
If you ever want to find a 55-57 chevy in good shape ,but, needs worked on, I know Dalton, GA has a ton of them sitting on blocks in peoples front yards. GPS got me lost and found this place by accident.-Lou

You got that right! I lived in Locust Grove, Georgia for 2.5 months back in 1998. It was nice down there, but I'm a Yankee and had to move back to New Jersey. :ROTF:
My best friend and his wife have lived down there since the mid '90s.

I was born and raised in Indiana. I don't care much for California, I am just here because I have a job at Edwards. And I have been wanting to move back to the east coast or midwest. I just don't know much about Georgia.

themisfit138,
I'm somewhat close to WR and there are many things to do here! Atlanta is not that far away and has a fairly good music scene, the cost of living is not bad. I don't really go to WR at all, so I can't tell you any specifics about schools or crime rates.
There are many beautiful state parks, there's good fishing and hunting. Pretty much anything you're looking for can be found in the greater metro area, there are some of the best strip clubs in the country!
Enjoying a rum and coke, just didn't have any coke...
I lived near the Atlanta area for a year it's nice in Georgia, I spent some time in Northern California & L.A. aswell, it's gonna be a culture shock for sure, & if you want real Bugs & Humidity come to Florida!
