Now that is what I am talking about Spidey!!!!

For those not in the know, most of those shots appear to be merely nothing more than just lining the balls up perfectly.

You have to taking into the consideration the english ( spin ) that is going to be transferred from one ball to the next. Even though the balls are hard and smooth, english is transferred between the balls.

Next, you need a good table with really good cloth....such is the case here.

Once you understand these principles, then the only thing left is the hardest thing to master.....the stroke. If you are in there jabbing at it like a kid jabbing at the food on his plate that he doesn't want to eat, you won't get much accomplished.

I can't do lefty shooting. I tried. Only thing my left hand is good for is holding the fork while I cut a steak.-Lou

Killer shooting, Spidey! They were all great, but the one near the end where you hit the cue ball multiple times, repeat the three cushion bank, then let it go sink the ball was my favorite.

Thanks Lou. You are 100% correct. And 90% of those shots won't make it without the proper english on the cue ball to begin with. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I can't shoot lefty well, which is good - it allows me to shoot with friends and everyone, including me, can have a good time without me winning all the time.

As for regular shooting - I'm trying to master massé shots. I can shoot them, just not consistent at it yet. Eric Yow has been a big influence on my shooting.

Thanks dg - that one's pretty cool. My personal favs in the video are the draw shot at 2:50, the forced draw around the rack at 3:11, and the rolling combo at 4:08. The rolling combo is probably the hardest because it's all about getting a good roll on the 2 object balls and then having the perfect timing and aim to make the combo successfully.

I actually probably spent more time with Chris Bartam than Corey. Probably the guy that gave me the most roller coaster type matches was a guy named Shannon Dalton.

I got a Schon ST-5 with one of the first Predator 12 piece shafts ever made and a jump/break cue....both have been sitting in the case for about 9+ years. I love Schons..... its nothing too fancy.....doesn't really draw much attention.

I think jump cues shouldn't be allowed. One of the few things I agree with Earl Strickland on, but, that's just my opinion. -Lou

Chris Bartam is a good player too. Not familiar with Shannon Dalton. I've never played with a Schon, but may have to try one. I'm really partial to the black graphite cue I'm using in pretty much all 58 shots in the video I posted. My dad had given me a genuine Balabushka when I was younger, but unfortunately, it was stolen (along with all my music equipment) when my apartment was broken into many years ago. Back in April, Eric Yow offered me and APTSA (American Pool and Trick Shot Assoc.) members pre-order on his custom jump and masse cues, being made by K.F. Cues. I got on APTSA members mailing list (all the big names in trick shot pool) after conversing with Eric and Stacy Mendrick "the first lady of trick shots" on the APTSA 2009 shot program, even though I'm not a member. She tried to get me to join and play, but I know I need more time at the pool table before I can compete at that level. Didn't have the cash for Eric's cues at the time, and I agree with you on the jump cues, but I certainly am considering buying one of his masse cues.
