  • Iron Maiden Fans Will like this

Saw this a couple years back. It's still hilarious.

    Take that forced prerecorded lip-syncing!!!

    "Dear Dr. Bill,
I work with a woman who is about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 450 pounds and has more facial hair than ZZ Top." - Jack The Riffer

"OK, we can both have Ben..joint custody. I'll have him on the weekends. We could go out in my Cobra and give people the finger..weather permitting of course.." -Bill Z. Bub

That's been doing the rounds for years - aparently it wasn't the lip synching that they had the issue with, it was that they had virtually no time to clear the stage. hence why the roadies were removing stuff half way through...

Adrian thought this would be bad for their career so wouldn't get into it.
      What a killjoy!

They featured and discussed this on their 12 Wasted Years video. Wish I still had a VCR so I could watch it again.

They also showed an earlier instance where a producer had try to force them to lip synch, on the UK's Top of the Pops, and they flatout refused to. So they played plugged in, something no one ever got away with on the show apparently, but had to keep the volume so low that it sounded pretty crappy.

For some reason on this German program they agreed (or submitted) to lip synching to promote the new single. But they weren't going to behave while they did it.
          Hail yesterday

The 'other show' was Top Of The Pops (RIP), and they basically refused to play it again for years. But they went back and lip synched with Blaze and when Brave New World came out...

I'm not so sure about that, I remember seeing them after Bruce had come back and he wasn't lip synching. I know, because he sounded shit.
