What other country of our size has done as much as us? What did Sweden ever do? Fuck all. What about Iceland? Fuck all.

Norway? Burnt some churches down, other than that, fuck all.

Ireland? Stupid accents and Father Ted. Okay, I'll give you that, since Father Ted was brilliant.

Wales? Even more stupid accents and sheep shagging on a world ending scale. Bastards.
I thought McDonald was Irish. Aren't names that start with Mc- Irish and Mac- Scottish?

What the fuck are you talking about?

McDonald's, MacDonalds, it's all the same thing.

But Ray Kroc is obviously from... Australia.

        Nah, Irish is "O".

        O'Donald, not McDonald.

        Tam O'Shanter, not Tam McShanter.

        Anyway, isn't it MacDonalds?

Na... My last name is McKinney... not MacKinney...... Although I have both Scottish and Irish ancestry.

My wife and I went to Scotland in 2006 (seems too long ago now). Loved it. We weren't there specifically for the show, but we caught Motorhead at the Carling Academy in Glasgow. Here's some pics (none of Motorhead, though...):

This one's the best. This guy was tooling around the streets of Glasgow on one of these little Rascal Scooters - even had a license plate:

This one's good to... check out this sign - seems to be a warning about people in wheelchairs driving horse & carriages... WTF???

Hey I'm only a nipper, I don't remember where an old film like that was made!
Turk, that's weird, my little girl started talking about the Transport Museum just before I looked at your photos, even though she hasn't mentioned it for weeks until now.

Nice pics! Where did you take the "Disabled Drivers" photo? I've never seen a sign like that in my life. But now I need to.

I'm pretty sure that was on the road between Inverness and the castle on Loch Ness.

I love how you came all the way to Scotland and took photos of American cars.

I love Scotland, if I won the lottery I would still live here.

Well... one is a Aston Marten V8 Vantage... and the other's a Delorean, which were mostly built in Ireland... sorry - Northern Ireland, or whatever you call it.

They are called Spaz Chariots over here.

Musician78, I think you are possibly one of the Americans that are much loved in Glasgow. Just go for a drink near the Ibrox stadium and brag of your ancestry and your love of the Celtics. I guarantee a warm welcome.
And worry not about your not knowing the difference between the countries. All you need to remember is that the English own most of them, and the ones we don't are shit anyway.

Oh, it's not just in Scotchland where the men wear skirts with no shreddies on underneath. I know of this place, near Nottingham, where a certain someone can be found, mincing about in a frock with his donut exposed for all to see........
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                            I nearly broke her back

depends on what kind of Scotland your looking for and how much you want to travel about...Edinburgh is stunning ...castle cobled streets great atmosphere and more your kind of touristy..shortbread Scotland..Stirling also good..Castle, Wallace monument, great olde worldy feel to it..Glasgow city centre is great for shopping, and the west end has the Museum and Glasgow Uni which are both amazing buildings.

If your looking for countryside the great thing about Scotland is if your in a car no matter where you are your only about 10 mins away from being in the country.

Loch Awe is a bit far from the beaten track, but if your driving ( I assume you will be) the drive there has some stunning scenery (just remember pack your sat nav!!)..also Loch lommand although can be busy is surrounded by some amazing views.

shoot me a PM if you need any info on anything.

Watch it you, ginger, penny pinching, grumpy, Bells and Irn-Bru drinking, haggis fucking, bagpipe blowing, caber tossing, tartan skirted cross dresser!

You're all so fucking grumpy as you've all got ginger pubes! Cheer up, at least they match your eyes.

Rupe, plan your journey to visit as many distilleries as you can.
