My wife and I are going out to Las Vegas at the end of the month to see the Beatles Cirque du Soleil show. It's our first time going there.

Any "must-sees" while in Vegas? We're not gamblers or partiers, so this will probably be our only trip out there.

My friend loves Vegas, he says the hookers there are outstanding.

Check out Steel Panther on Fridays at Green Valley Ranch. Or Saturday's I think the place the House of Blues. The ride at the Top of the World restaurant is cool.

I understand where you're coming from. I drink, and I have nothing against gambling, although I don't really enjoy it, and I enjoy some skank shaking her ass as much as the next guy.

So, when my future wife and I went to Vegas, she wasn't too into hanging out at strip clubs and neither of us was really big on gambling, so we were actually kind of bored.

If you're not into drinking, gambling, and whores, or any of those is off-limits due to the company you're keeping, then you picked the wrong town.

Well it's really just to see the Beatles show and cross Vegas off the list. We're spending 2 nights there and then driving over to the Grand Canyon. Just seeing if there's anything else to do there besides throw away money and get drunk

I havent been either and I am much like you. I drink but not a lot. I dont really gamble either, I live 45 minutes from a casino and a horse track and have never been to either one. You can check out the buffets, but one can only eat so much. If or when I go I want to check out the Hoover dam. I would also like to see some shows like Cirque and maybe blueman. Oh and I would probably try to play a round of golf. I hear they have some nice courses out there.

^ Yep we're stopping at the Hoover Dam on the way to the Grand Canyon. I'm excited; I've never been out West, so even seeing a desert is something to look forward to.

Well there is Hoover Damn to do, you can take a tour of it and its pretty cool to do here is the linky for it... http://www.usbr.gov/lc/hooverdam/service/index.html

Also take the tour of Red Rock Canyon its free to get into and if your a hiker you can hike or if your car driver then there is a nice loop through the park not sure how long the drive is maybe 20 miles or so. There is plenty of places to stop along the way and take pics, its a really neat place to go and see the Nevada desert and the Spring Mountians where the two meet; here is linky for that...

Last but not least is Mt. Charleston its a nice drive to get out of the city and up into the Mountians (like REALLY up, 7500 ft) especially in the summer time when its 110 in the valley and its only 70-80 up in the mountians. There is a lodge and stuff up there its cool to see cause of the major differences of the two climates and junk like that; way better to do in the summer but still nice to do any time of the year. Can I make a suggestion to you if you have the time check out the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert national parks since you are out that way it east of Flagstaff. Its well worth the drive and IMO its way better then the Grand Canyon cause its way less crowded and you can get more up close and personal w/the park and enjoy it way better. If your interested PM me your email and I will send you some pics of the park when we went a couple of summers ago.

If your into roller coasters or thrill rides there are a few to check out there... There is one on top of the Stratosphere. The only one I have been on, and it was years ago, is the NYNY roller coaster.

Other than that there is always great comedy shows or magic shows if your interested in those. Carrot Top is usually performing in vegas.

There's an In-N-Out Burger and a Fatburger in Las Vegas. I would make those two stops a priority.
