It amazes me how small the internet makes the world.
Take this forum for example and all the members on here. What are the chances that you'll meet someone on here and become friends.

Just yesterday through my best friend I met "fatstrat" from the forum and we talked yesterday for over an hour about gear and playing and he's an outstanding guy!
We both scratched our heads thinking about what the chances are that he did business with a friend of mine 2000 miles away and we knew each other?

It also reaffirms how I feel about folks being professional and courteous online and how your character as a person carrys onto the net. Imagine if some people on forums trolling trying to pick fights, knew they were actually going to meet some of the people they were attacking?? They would conduct themselves differently. The internet makes the world very small.

Anyway, I hope to meet and visit with more of you folks on here - party at my house anyone?? LOL!

          Affirmative.
          There some cool cats around!

I...we...some of us have gone through some abnormalities
on the internet but I have learned from it.
I have chatted on the phone and met some.
My opinion is that the good forums are kind of self
          moderated.
It may take a long time (and some of us...me...are slow
learners) but then you get whacked in the face with
the realization that sometimes you really don't know who is
          on the other end.

Some of those I have picked fights with are actually OK.
          Others...who knows.

So far I've enjoyed the time I spend here, very friendly, informative, and the best is the comedy. I'll pull up Horns666 & Rsmackers posts just to read and laugh a lot of the time. Good stuff here. Goes good with coffee too. All in all, this is a GREAT forum.

they say the country is only 7 miles long in the end with the way people are connected. I've met a boatload of people from here over the years, partied with a bunch, jammed with them too. The phone used to ring all the time. Calls from all over the country, and even from Estonia (Endrik) it's one of the few things I like about computers. I haven't been in touch with many as of late but i've made some great friends.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

Yep, I vacation at Harpers' Ferry from time to time. I live near the Crapitol though.

Man what great memories - I loved Harper's Ferry and then going to the mall in Hagerstown.
I lived there for 5 years as a kid. Love that area of the country.

Lots of nice places here, just got to get past the meth labs, lol. Seriously though, there is a lot of natural beauty here, it's just a PITA to get anywhere in the 'Mountain State.'

Oh how SAD!!! There too??? meth labs! Well I guess there is a lot of isolated areas to get into to trouble.
I keep thinking of how it used to be.
