      easiest solution ever

IMO, the wheels would look better if they were black.. but that's just my preference.

what's the equipment on it though? how much did you pay for it?
i'd love to have one of those, cos i really like the looks, but i think it'd cost a fortune to convert the suspension to something that'd take corners like a car with that kind of oomph should

No, mine's black on black - kinda Smokey and the Bandit "future" style

Dwight has the digital dash. My 1987 GTA had that (pretty cool).
        Dwight has an auto.
Dwight has a 350 (you can only get a 305 with a stick because the manual trannies can't take more than 300 ft lbs. of torque). I know because I blew the tranny on a 1984 Trans Am. Cost a fortune. In fact, my wife's GTA blew out it's auto on the way to Vegas in Victorville. We had to spend the night at my dad in Hesperia.

Looking back, I've had very crappy luck with trannies. But this 1990 has an improved manual and is stronger than the pre-88 manual trannies.

Awesome machine. I've never seen one of the new ones in white, and I love the stripes. I have no such car, but in order to join the fun, here's my brother's:

Congratz! You're quite lucky to be able to afford such a car. Enjoy it as much as you can!

I just downloaded the Diablosport Predator Tuner's Performance 93 Octane with Cold Air Intake tune. It really boosts up the HP and Torque in the lower RPM range...quicker shifts. Better off the line performance. My old 06 Mustang GT responded well to the SCT tune I purchased for it too. As far as the manual vs automatic question...a 6 Speed manual would be very cool (love the pistol grip)...but the automatic is much better with the tune mod. They should just sell the new modular EFI cars with this as an option

. Even though the automatic doesn't come with a Slapstick...it does have a autostick (tiptronic) option...for slapstick type shifts.

I've already test drove a bunch. Just not the same.

Sweet car. My wife is saving for a new Camaro but i don't see why she won't just get one of those.

They look awesome, i was just dissapointed at their performance to power ratio. There is no way they should be that slow compared to a Camaro with a very slightly larger engine. I know in the end, the camaro is just better engineered and the Challenger is aimed more towards nostalgic upper middle class folk who just want to take it from point a to point b. I'm not calling it slow, but...Let's just say I've beaten all 6 of the ones i raced at the dragstrip. My car is 10 years and displaces quite a bit less, but i digress. Also,I am in no way baggin' on you dude, apart from the crappy numbers, this car has got it all. Style, comfort and a hemi. Maybe the next gen's will focus on that. I haven't heard that many with new cat backs and or headers. Can't wait. I work at a rust-proofing company and probably the biggest in my province, so i drive close to 150 of the 250-300 cars that get their treatment done. I get a couple of SRT8'S . Love the Grand Cherokee and i dig the charger. Mostly because of the sound. I hate that we have a huge window that lets the customers see what we do. And hear too, when i went to deliver the SRT8, i gave it a good bit of gas and man those that hemi sing

It's all about the mass, sons. Mustang GT is around 3600#, Camaro V8 3900, while the Challenger V8 challenges the scale at around 4200!

Still the challenger pushes 102.6 Hp per ton and the Mustang 88.1 per ton. Then hp/liters is pretty even though with srt8 at 69.6/L and the mustang at 68.6/L. It's impressive that the mustang is only 0.1 secs away from the Challenger on the quarter mile. Weight or not, it's just not justifiable to have a 41 000$ (base price btw) barely capable of out running a 28 000$ (also base). That said, i think it's common knowledge now and people looking for speed and performance will mostly likely look else. Thing is, there's just a lot of things the others can't provide compared to the Challenger. These things just can't be compared. I am young, but i could just imagine being 45 years old and buying a new car modeled after the car i drove in my heyday, but with all sorts of modern conveniences. (I can't imagine it being that popular in 24 years, but heh theres also room for positive thinking :P)

P.S. why did you quote maximum crunch in there too, was he talking about speed or power? It sounds like you're trying to make fun of his wife. Just sayin man.. max might now find it funny.

You read way too much into my actions

Max: " i don't see why she won't just get one of those."

One reason might be because of the mass. The Dodge is far away from being the car that the Chevy or Ford is, IMO.

Also, don't discount loyalty: One of my co-workers went totally gaga over the new Camaro. She (!) got a silver V8 and it has basically changed her life. She does all kinds of activities with other Camaro owners, and even planned a recent vacation around a 10 car photo shoot (!) in Fresno (!!). This lady is vehemently anti Mustang.

The Camaro SS is clearly hands down the better deal of them all if your looking for all out and out performance. Just look at the power to weight ratio, hp numbers and price tag. Camaro A6's trapping 110 in the 1/4 while RT's and GT's are only trapping 104/105. That right there should easily show you the brute power to weight right there. No contest there, LSx FTMFW!
