Did someone say Camero? Gotta a shitty camera phone pic of mine. Just got it tinted, lowered a little bit, and Borla sport exhaust/headers.

Effing SICK man! Do you have a sound clip of your cat back. Dude, i hate them stock cause you can't hear them. I was going to work in my Thunderbird the other day (It's a winter car, don't laugh), and i was making more noise with my stock exhaust than the SS driving next to me. It's just we know it's a V8, but it didn't sound like it at all.

No, I don't have a clip of it but, since I replaced the exhaust it got significantly louder and deeper (As it should.) It was a 100% improvement over stock. It sounds mean as hell. I still have some more stuff coming in and I gotta do something about them rims. Was never a fan and the upgrade ones that came from chevy where just ugly as fuck.

I need to take a better picture of this thing....

Being a musclecar fan myself I'm glad to see that we once again have a choice of Mustang/Challenger/Camaro. To me however the hands down winner has got to be the Mustang Shelby GT500. Looks great and will absolutely annhialate the others. GM and Chrysler have a long way to go before they can catch up to that act. Having said that, I think the Challenger is badass looking and prefer it over the Camaro. The Camaro's looks are growing on me a bit more than when I initially saw it except the rear end of it. The rear of the Camaro still looks goofy to me. Fortunately, since I prefer Fords and Mopars I won't have to worry much about seeing that end of the car

Gee only took a supercharger to do so

Gm takes a LSx series motor and puts a blower on there and lookie what they get, 700+ hp, whats the deal there

Doesn't matter, for 45000-50000, that car kicks some serious ass when you look how much cheaper it is to run and maintain than LS9, not too mention the supercharged corvette is way more expensive. I can't wait til the next SVT/Shelby model comes out on the new twin cam 5.0 engine. It was designed with the intent of being easily modified and a foreseeable venture for Ford to implement their eco-boost system on the higher cobra trim. The stock GT will already be squeezing out 410HP or so out of a mere 5.0Ls, imagine how much hp it will gain with the twin turboed set-up . Plus it will be fun to mess around with them and increase the induction on them. Obviously Ford will keep them low stock so they can be later improved. That said, they are both good cars and I'd take either one of them in a lottery win any day

Hey-O! Somebody finally mentioned the 2011 Mustang GT. I was just reading MT's review: how do ya like 0-60 in 4.3 seconds?! http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...est/index.html

No one said you can't supercharge an LS motor. Thing is Ford already did the homework for you and the engine is supercharger ready. People are cranking up the boost on these Shelbys and making unreal power! Plus the Ford motrrs are smaller, so yeah they're running blowers so what? Like I said, it will flat out kick the crap out of the competing musclecars. Factory warranty, emissions legal, good gas mileage, and not too tempremental because you started modding it (i.e. will idle in traffic all day long and stay cool) what more could you want. GM and Chrysler have some serious catching up to do

IMO forced induction is like stuffing a bra or tying a sausage to your leg and walking around with this fake bulge. Sure the hp numbers look good but it still took you a power adder to get there.

45-50K is hardly anything inexpensive. Look at how little behind the 2SS is behind the GT500 w/ more than 10K difference. Its no where near worth the extra just to have your "supercharger" be barely faster than a NA pure GM power plant.

And once again here comes the "ford motors are smaller" They're also a DOHC which should be compared to a Toyota or some other foreign car. I guess they gave up at their attempt to make a fast OH 16 valve car What else are they going to try, 2 extra cylinders?

Whats fords mass produced super car, the GT500, what's Dodges, the Viper, what's Chevy's, the Corvette. Anybody seeing the point? The viper... that's another joke all by itself. Anybody else see the video of the 405 fwhp LS6 ZO6 vette run a 10.8x at MIR w/ everything stock but slicks? Plus more than enough 345 fwhp LS1 Camaro SS's and TA WS6's running 12.9 off the show room floor w/ stock tires. I really have yet to see anything impressive like that from any other car manufacturer.

F/I like stuffing a bra? What are you so hung up on GM products that you can't respect ingenuity and modern engineering. What are you going to argue with the guys that beat SS Camaro's and Z06's all day long with their Mitsubishi Evo's and Subaru STI's? What they're ''cheating'' because their cars have more camshafts then yours? I guess you could say they ''stuff their crotches'' with superior engineering, but at the end of the day it's not going to matter when the guy in his brand spanking new Z06 got his shit handed to him by some 25 year old asshole, who bought an STI because he's still living out of his folk's garage for free.

On the other hand, what GM has done is take a Jurassic engine and keep it alive on life support. Expensive life support. I am not going to argue that it's pretty effective, but how long can they keep that going until they have no choice to actually design a new engine to start replacing their refurbished engines. It's kind of like Madonna, you could never tell she's 51, but it's gonna be obvious in 5-15 years hehe. Ford's last super car was far more impressive. Remember ol' doctor Ford GT. That thing ate Ferrari's for breakfast on a track and could still get a nice quarter mile of 11.2 for a car specifically geared towards professional touring racing. What's funny is that typically sell used for about 10-20 grand over MSRP these days since they were produced in such short numbers. I don't love one brand more than another. If i have a lot of Ford cars it's because my Dad has been working for about 20 years there and i can get a lot of maintenance, parts and cars for really cheap. If i had a choice, I'd personally still keep my Mustang, but i do love the old LT1/LS1 F-bodies a lot and if i had the dough, I'd have a nice T-top Trans am. Anyways I've never seen anyone so sentimental about a brand of friggin cars. If you love GM so much, why don't you marry them :ROTF:?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH .. that post is hilarious!! (CKJ)
that camaro looks freakin SICK!!!!!!!!! damn!
as far as engines and tech goes.. you gotta hand it over to the japanese and germans.. 445 out of a naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 (in audis new RS5) or 520 from a 6.3 V8 (mercedes S63)
not to mention the japanese got 630hp out of a (pretty heavily moded 2.6 straight6) Skyline r34 .. and that wasnt even their goal. they intended to make the ultimate response engine, so you got torque ALL OVER the rev range, they just accidentally bumped the power from 275 (in the books.. in reality it was close to 320) to 630 .. that car will eat most supercars.. and it looks FANTASTIC!

so dont get hung up on prehistoric engines.. get on with the time and use the new tech.. cos most european cars havent got shit on the muscle car styling. they dont stand out while still being discreet about their features

Though .. for what it's worth .. numbers like that are ok on paper.. and on a track. but in the real world, there is no way in hell you can justify that kind of car.. let alone use it every day.
as a personal car, i prefer a nimble little hatchback, like the fiesta or clio. close to 200 horsepower, so it's got enough grunt to be fun, yet not as much that you'd need to fill it up every 500 yards. and they're fun through corners and useable EVERYWHERE

The GM crowd just can't admit they got owned by a Shelby is the bottom line. And btw, that 550 hp is the starting point only. Owners are getting over 700 rear wheel hp by upping the boost and aftermarket headers with the proper dyno tune. And doing it reliably I might add. The GM LS motors can make power too and many add nitrous or blowers anyway but their reliability at the drag strip has not been on par with the 4 valve Mod Motors. The Shelby is the best bang for the buck going!
