I noticed two Soloists at Sam Ash the other day. One was... Something. I got distracted by the one next to it, which was an SL2H. Man, it was beat. Chunks of paint missing and stuff around the tremolo (how the fuck does THAT happen?) and just generally, looked pretty abused.

$999? Get the fuck out. I would have given them $700 for it max.

That's why all the fiddles are fucked.
If it didn't ship with a good setup, it will never get one at a GC.
I didn't know GC even had techs. I believe the one by me sends stuff out to a mom and pop store down the road.

that is one of the better GC's around...doesnt really seem like Guitar Center

All stores are guilty of having crap setups not just guitar centers.

Some Guitar Centers do have an "in-store tech" now, they made a big to-do about posting signs that you could bring your guitar in to have it ruined for just a few dollars more than it would cost you to ruin it yourself at home.

The Law of Averages finally prevailed in producing a decent GC.
