There's been at least one case of a "sex offender" (whose "crime" was consensually banging his girlfriend who was just a little younger than him, but fell under statutory rape laws) who was killed by vigilantes picking names off the website. Some places are considering prosecuting kids who text naked pics of themselves under kiddie porn laws. God help them when they get listed.

I'd rather be raped than have my gear stolen.

Isn't that problem easily fixable? You put the criminals into different groups and mark them with different colours on the maps based on their criminal codes, and I mean true criminals. Blue - Rapists (non consensual sex with adults and late teens), Red - Pedophiles (perversions involving prepubescent children), Purple - Hebephiles (perversions involving pubescent early teens).

I had not heard of that; where and who was that? I'd like to look it up.

The reason I ask is that I have checked the local website for sex offenders, and for each offender it says specifically what he was convicted for - my gf has a neighbor across the street who has 2 convictions for specifically orally copulating minor children under the age of 10. She has a 9-year old grandson so it's a concern, but not much you can do. He also lives within 1000 feet of the elementary school too.

Point being, I can read the convictions of the various ones in the area and see if it's forcible rape, statutory rape, or what. I didn't see any indecent exposure convicts so while Jayster's concern might also be valid, not seeing the petty stuff arond here.

It's just hard for me to believe Mississippi would have a better handle on tracking sex offenders than other states, seeing we're the poorest and the most backward. But who knows, maybe we did something right!

I felt like I was raped when I had my shit stolen.

Douche bags. These guys defending/apologizing are douche bags, the thieves are douche bags. What, they needed a guitar so they could play the Battle of the Bands and win the contest to pay for an operation for the drummer's dear old mum?
