I just heard about this and it ruined what was otherwise a great weekend. Ronnie was the bomb.

Ronnie was one of the greats. I saw him almost two years ago with Heaven and Hell. He will be missed.Comment

I was bummed.
But (like after a good memorial service) come away knowing
he lived life to the fullest, gave back much more than he took.
Passing is always bad, but I think we can all take consolation
in what he gave us.
It could have so easily gone another way.
To think a little guy from Cortland NY could rise to the top.
(OK, I'm biased, I'm also from the-middle-of-nowhere, upstate NY).

RIP Ronnie. What an amazing life. The man sang sang doo-wop in the '50s and industrial-strength metal in the '90s and beyond. I'm incredibly sad he's gone, but his music will live as long as metal does.Comment
