No, since the Model Series guitars had a standard nut with a string lock mounted behind it. If you want to install the Floyd locknut, you'll have to modify the neck by adding a shelf for it, because the headstocks on those necks fall away right behind the nut. An R3 or R4 will be the right width. You can also just put the Floyd on and keep the same old nut & string lock on there, which is what most people do, as long as everything is still holding well.Comment

I chose Warmoth eventually...They were very helpful in many areas both on the phone and via email. Price-wise was very competitive with "Las Vegas" shop to the stars- sorry forget their name! Anyways, once you have the details figured out (above postings) I'd look at floydupgrades.com to put it all together while its apart.Comment
